One more thing to add. i hope that whatever the new single, Adam will have a video out there
promptly.
Kris Allen did his video early so that, just a week or so after his single was released, the video
is already on VEVO. As video is a big sales/requests booster, I hope Adam will have a video
ready sooner than with BTIKM.

Not sure whether to hug or curse the person that posted this yt playlist link earlier, but I will say thank you. I need to ask you NCOE-as-a-single fans--are you sure it's not the acoustic performances that have won you over, because I agree they are stunning, but this doesn't carry over to the snippet. IMHO. What were the results of the polls, here and elsewhere re which snippets were favorites. Last I checked NCOE was far below TP and Cuckoo. Doesn't that speak for something? So VERY exciting to end the evening hearing that Adam is going to sing Trespassing at NNN. Another question: if we had heard that he was practicing NCOE, would the reaction have been as celebratory? Koshka wrote, whatever other song he sings will be the single. I think that's true. Ladymazerati--loved your post and the quote. I am going to save it. Reihmer, I like your Naked Love video idea. Not sure I want to pass the singing on to Katy Perry but your video ideas is PERFECT! I can't wait for when radio play is not the biggest consideration in our discussions--thanks for reminding me that day will come. It is great to have people to talk to and share, our sometimes differing opinions, and our love for Adam. Our similarities far outweigh our differences! I am truly fine with whatever the single choice is, I think they all have different strengths. I will say that even though the NCOE snippet is fuzzy and low-res I miss the driving dance beat in the acoustic performances even though Adam's voice is all good things. Just to answer your poll question, out of these: Fever FYE WWFM IIHY Which songs do you think were the favorite of most core fans if the same poll had been conducted early in era 1? Which song would have been at the bottom of the list? Compare that to which song had the most worldwide success on radio? For me I can rank them by my personal favorites, and then reverse that completely and I get the list of songs that actually were most successful worldwide on radio. Luckily for me (I guess) I really am having trouble making the same personal favorite ranking now. Or more accurately I have, but some of the songs keep changing places and fighting for that top spot in my affections which varies day to day according to my mood and what aspects of the song I'm focusing on. It's gonna take the full studio versions to straighten that mess out. ;D There will be people celebrating if NCOE is performed, whether they go here or flail in other fan places is another matter. I guess my thought is if someone doesn't want radio play to be part of the discussion, why worry about the single choice at all? Just talk about your personal favorite album songs and the ones you aren't as enamored with and forget about that whole side of it - it's not like core fans could (or even should many would argue) influence the choice anyway as aloha drolly pointed out. Singles are meant for radio, that is their sole purpose in life pretty much IMO -- though a cool video is a nice side benefit. Like juniemoon said, it's really two separate discussions, though both can be interesting. ETA: oh wait, I lied, Chokehold is my fav overall and nothing, not studio versions, nor the fact that it is not in contention for a single will shift me from my passionate devotion. <3 |
