I hear A "fl" sound, like flavor. I like it more on each repeated listen.

After listening a couple times, I am kind of surprised by the sound of this. Course I don't frequent clubs, so have no clue if this is the type of dance music that is popular. I like it, I just am surprised, that is all. Yes, this is exactly the beat that is popular in clubs.

Me 3! It sure sounded like new/different vocals. Why didn't he just say so? The track doesn't have new vocals. Adam said that they took the original track and had Billboard remix it (quote: "the vocals are still there, just up front"). Also, I doubt Adam and RCA would have wanted to spend more money on re-recording vocals for a track from FYE at this point. I just hope there is an Aftermath radio edit. Based on what Q3 has said in the past, I can't see how a track that is over 5 minutes long is going to get radio play in the U.S. (Hope I'm wrong!)

He did not play the 5 minute version.

I don't think that's the vocal from the album. His phrasing and emphasis on certain parts seems different to me. I'm thinking it might be a performance from the GNT. I just listened to it (thanks for the links) and it's definitely a new vocal; the melody is different; he doesn't drop down for 'the messes that you made' etc. I love it even though it's not really my sort of thing - got a bit bored towards the end (when Adam stopped singing) and found the 'one day' thing a bit intrusive. If beat is the main 'driver' then this has it : . His voice sounds great as always and much more prominent than I've heard on other remixes; got to be good. Now I'm looking for a re-run of the interview 'cos it sound as if it was as much fun as the track. He just makes me smile :D :D I agree with everything you said, justgill. I want to hear the interview too. Imagine how Adam will feel when he's in a club, and they play it. Since we're talking about Aftermath, this is my favorite GNT version. Such joy radiating from him. And the little "move around of the head" at 3:55 when he just gets totally lost in the music. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDG67ixs1oIOkay, back to the re-mix and anxiously awaiting the amazing acoustic version we will get tomorrow night.

Ok, not so sure about radio success because of the length, oh well. It certainly is club kid remix though and will be great in that context.
I am looking forward to a major Idol bump in AFL interest and sales following his performance. This week is just full of goodies! Such fun!

Katy Perry, Gaga and Kesha all have one. I hope someone matches up the original vocal with the remix. It sounds like Adam goes down in spots where he normally goes up.

The melody lines in several places are significantly different, as is some of the delivery. Not something one can do with a remix machine. Now, he may have recorded that track as an alternate during FYE rather than recording it recently, but it is definitely NOT the same track as FYE.
