So you've been hired by Adam Lambert to be part of his entourage—Congratulations! You join an elite group of musicians and dancers who have been lucky enough to ride this crazy train. The good news is that some rules have recently been relaxed, such as the height restriction. If you're talented and fabulous, you are now allowed to be above 4'8" tall. The "Don't Be A Douchebag" rule is still in full effect, of course.
There are also specific rules that relate to the fandom as follows:
Welcome Wagon: As soon as we find out about you, you will be bombarded with welcome messages and your Twitter follower count will skyrocket. If you don't have a Twitter account (wtf) please consult with Tommy, who will set you right up. It's considered good manners to express joy about your new job and delight in the zillions of tweets you're getting. RT'ing praise from overenthusiastic fans is considered bad form and should be avoided. Also please refrain from using the word "glamily." We have a love-hate relationship with the word and only accept it from Adam.
Background Check: As fans, we want to know
Job Performance: Throughout your tenure with Adam, you will be subjected to ongoing fan-alysis. Points will be added or deducted based on your behavior and you'll be rated somewhere between "we're keeping u forever" to "gtfo."
Points added for-
*Dropping frequent hints about upcoming events (note: "Something exciting coming soon!!!" doesn't count and will result in loss of points after the first time.)
*Tweeting pics from rehearsals, backstage, and social outings (note: the pics must of course include Adam. Save the pics of just yourself for your real family.)
Points deducted for-
*Tweeting your P.O. Box along with a wish list of merchandise.
*Replying to notorious crays. This is dangerous territory. To be on the safe side, don't reply to anyone at all, or else just reply to @noangelpf. I’m notoriously sane :D
*Pimping your own work. Your tweets should run 10:1 Adam-related.
During performances you must appear engaged and thrilled to be onstage, otherwise your dedication, intelligence, and mental health will be questioned. At no time may you draw undue attention to yourself, otherwise your loyalty, motivations, and mental health will be questioned.
We very much appreciate any and all details you share about Adam, unless you cross the line at which point you will be promptly vilified. Where is that line, you may ask? Dude, if we told you, where's the fun in that? ;D
Exit strategy: At some point, your association with Adam will end. Sorry about your life. An initial mass unfollowing will occur, and then every time you tweet more people will unfollow as you remind them of your irrelevant existence. You may be moving on to "bigger and better things" (as if!) but realize that you could be running for President and berts won't really care.
Following the above rules will make the fandom happy and your life very pleasant. Please don't be alarmed at our enthusiasm—we mean well. If Adam picked you, chances are you're a good person, and we're happy to throw some love your way.
