I am lame and noncontributing as I am not on twitter. But I can't help asking why it seems so quiet. If this full song went out on satellite radio why don't we have people flailling about hearing it? The above tweet is only the second one I've seen (again, I rely on you guys too much) and it says "snippet". But both people have said it sounded like BM! I am actually hoping this is the mash up released because I certainly don't want the buzz about this song to be about how much Adam sounds like Bruno (even though I think the snippet did) |

okay - whew - Thanks Guys. 8-) But I do feel bad for the UK fans. :-/ I feel for the UK fans who personally have to wait (though you know overseas buying and gifting will be happening...). But for Adam, it seems like a really great thing as it coincides with the week of his two London shows with Queen right? And nothing has gotten him more publicity then the Queen connection so far, especially in the UK. It also gives more time for a UK single to do it's thing. For the record I kind of disagree with those who think separating the timing of Queen announcements from single or album announcements are good things. Those two things joined together in the same articles seem to reach many, many more media outlets and viewers/readers who aren't already following Adam closely in my opinion. Also it seems like Adam's PR has tried when possible (Sonisphere internal problems might have messed up their timing) to tie them together. |

We are VERY lucky as Adam fans, because all the potential singles are very good!  I encourage everyone, not only the ones that aren't totally zen about NCOE, to try and send out positive energy towards the next single no matter what it may be. This is what I believe Adam would want, and what the single needs. Great times ahead! Amen. Warming up my love chakras for whatever the hell the next song is. ;D  |

None of us know what Adam wanted for the next single. And it is unfair to him for people to be saying that he wanted something else. We just don't know.
Bottom line, I want a single Z100 will play. I adore Trespassing, but if CHR stations are telling the label it doesn't "fit" then I would rather they go with something else. BTIKM was basically a flop. Adam can't afford to have another single rejected by the big markets. If stations like Z100 are telling RCA that NCOE is the single they want, it would be stupid to go with anything else.
Obviously, I am speculating here. But radio play has to be the label's goal at this point in time. Adam needs a song in Z100's power rotation. This will sell the album and insure that Adam gets more singles off this album.
At least one UK person (can't remember who) heard the final mix of NCOE and seemed to think it was the biggest hit.
eta: I like NCOE a lot. And, when you bring Bruno into the studio for the recording, it basically tells me label has given him some kind of guarantee. I am fine with it.
