I can still remember the first time I posted on a board. After months of lurking and just enjoying what I read, I ventured to post an opinion. I remember the elation when I was responded to and someone agreed. I also remember the frustruation when I felt I was ignored. I don't worry about those things anymore. Experience has shown me that just because no one responds doesn't mean much. Sometime, it means that many agree and had nothing further to say. Sometimes it means that all disagreed and chose to let it lay. Further, sometimes it means nothing. I post things that I feel. I no longer expect acceptance. I expect the opportunity to express what I feel whether anyone agrees or not. I accept an opinion that is polar opposite from mine and I try to understand why. Sometimes I find that I am just being an ass and I get called out on that. Thanks for all of those that have made me aware of when i thought I was giving good face but instead I was just showing my ass. I like differing opinions. I guess I don't give enough feedback, for some of the reasons you stated, but mostly because I am always rushing. You comments are always appreciated whether I say so or not.

I was out shopping and didn't get to watch live but I watched when I got home and then read through the thread to see everyone's reaction. He looked gorgeous. Probably better than I've seen him looking in a while. The entire look was stunning. He sounded great although I wasn't crazy about the arrangement itself. I thought he owned that final high note and was glad he pulled that out. That's called schooling the children ;D on a final note before I go to bed allow me to edit this quote He sang. He Slayed. I came
That is all lol A+

Granddaughter in bed now so I just caught up with thread. The best part of tonight, my daughter has a much nicer tv & surround sound system then Mom & Dad do. OMG..........Adam was perfection!!!! I l totally loved this version, loved that the entire band was with him. They all sounded and looked perfect, I liked this better than with guitar only. Adam, I watched youTube too, I am so not a professional critic, but, from this lay person he hit a home run. I am guessing the AI audience will think so also, such a grand night. So thrilled for Adam!!!!! So thrilled for his fans, we have the best idol EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad to be among right thinking people. And just want to note that after one has enjoyed Adam's perf (voice, beauty, awesome expressions) many times, one should take time out to appreciate the small but important details. I mean, check out the amazing that is Tommy's hair I don't even know exactly what's going on there - art maybe, but I think whoever was on hair duty tonight (also for Adam's lovely simple but not pomp. look too) deserves big credit. (And Sophie must be proud of how tidy and cute Isaac looked as well.) Band looove. haha...my husband thought Tommy was a girl. ;D ETA:Adam really did have the beautiful, young clean-cut Elvis vibe tonight. He looked so incredibly gorgeous that I am still overwhelmed by his beauty and grace and charm. Happy - and relieved - dreams tonight. Butterflies replaced with thankfulness for this darling man.

I screen capped 30 shots. With so many of the different facial expressions, I was getting an Elvis vibe. Definitely an Elvis vibe tonight. I wonder if this will be his look for Adam 2. Just love the look.

I'm beginning to think the different perceptions of this performance can be from people having different TVs. This has happen to me at least three times for TV performances where people's opinions were divided. In the moment I thought "Oh no, Adam's sounding off tonight" only to watch the you tube later and he sounds great. Same thing happened tonight so I wonder if anyone else has this happen? On top of it I kept looking at his teeth thinking they looked brown and had spaces in between from bad lighting...random :-/ Adam's teeth are the most perfect I've ever seen so I may have to buy a new TV just for Adam's performances. Then after no mention of where to buy the song or anything about the DVD I was in a bit of a funk and didn't post anything. But now that it looks like a resounding success I'm in my happy place again. How awesome that on a show with 25? million people watching, a gay man sang a song about coming out (at least Adam said that's what he was thinking about) and finding love, then promotes an awesome LBGT charity to a pretty conservative demographic where many may never have heard about it before and the whole thing is receiving glowing reviews. Progress!!! #Winning \o/ ^^^^^This^^^^^This^^^^^^All of This^^^^^^^ except maybe the part about the TV, don't know about that. But Adam Looked Gorgeous, Sang Gorgeous, and was so sweet and a little adorkable. It amazes me how he can go from this to FIERCE Glittery Alien like he was on tour. I think America has fallen in love with him all over again!

Threads are like the ocean -- they have waves. But after two years there is a clear pattern. Adam is going to perform -- as it approaches people get really excited. Then it happens and some things are not as expected. First there is the that was great comments. Then the issues are noted. Then it swings back to that was great. Then people who commented on the details listen to the whole performance and decide it was fine, great, amazing, etc. You can see it in every perform thread for 2 years.
Now for my nit pick ----- and I would only bother to comment on this about an Adam performance.
The section is at 2:40 in the performance -- it needed a slightly longer break for the transition when he shifted from the rock wail to the end of the song. This was an unresolved part of the arrangement and it puzzles me. My only thought is Adam extended his wail longer then he planned and did not have a good way to get to the next part of the song. It is like he got caught up in the moment of the song.
Hubby asked me how peeps liked Adam tonight and I described the thread in much the same way you just did, Q3. You just sit and bob along, always keeping your eye on the horizon until the ship rights itself. I love this place. Re the comment about the shift at 2:40. I was surprised when it happened but in a good way (tm whatshername). It was dramatic and hooked me right in. I liked it.

Readon --- ITA --- I like differing opinions.
Adam hit a home run tonight based on comments all over the place from non-Adam fans. And that is what he needed to do. Start to position himself to go after a broader audience.
Also, he is getting get support on gay sites -- which have not universally supported Adam.
The net, net = win, win, win for Adam, RCA and Trevor Project.

AdamOfficial is still trending. David Cook trended for awhile but then dropped off. I don't think Diddy Dirty Money has trended at all. Hmmmm....
