Just for fun, I started reading the Grassy Knoll thread at Television Without Pity to see what the conspiracy theories were about season 8. It was really funny at first to see the various theories about who was going to win ("Anoop has this in the bag!") and who wasn't ("Kris will be lucky if he makes it far enough to be on the tour.") But as it came down to the finale, and the Adam vs. Kris battle heated up, I had to quit because I was getting too pissed off. Kris fans were insisting that his win (or potential win, since much of the posts were written before the finale itself) had absolutely nothing to do with Adam's sexuality! No siree, it's just that America loves Kris's style of music and hates that screechy thing Adam does, and Kris will be the huge success while Adam will fade quickly as people tire of his "gimmick."
I can't even tell you how happy I am that those people were proven wrong.

I hope it’s ok for me to interrupt the flow here. I have a RL Adam story! I took a friend to a Dr’s appointment this morning and while she’s with the Dr I’m bored in the waiting room. A big guy in his 70’s or thereabouts is across from me and we’re both staring at The View on TV. The View gals start to discuss last night’s Idol. Turns out this guy watches the show every week so we talked about the contestants. Finally he says “Adam Lambert is supposed to be on tonight.” I feel myself go immediately into defensive mode. I say “And?” expecting the I CAN’T STAND HIM HE SCREAMS! response. He says “He’s GREAT. He can sing anything! I can’t understand how he lost to that other guy!” My entire body relaxes, I smile broadly and tell him I’m a huge Adam Lambert fan. We talk about how fabulous he is and then guy says “I don’t know what he’s going to do tonight.” HaHa. He does now! This made my day (my night is already made!) and I just had to share. Goes to show the old adage you can’t judge a book by the cover is so true. I had already written this guy off as an Adam-hater just because: 1) He was a guy 2) He was old 3) He was big Thanks for letting me interrupt. Now I’ll go back and try to catch up. Nice story, thanks for sharing!!!

milestougeaux Eber Lambert @adamlambert Merde! 2 minutes ago in reply to : adamlambert Adam Lambert Today's the day! 47 minutes ago I wasn't sure what "Merde" meant so I googled it. According to the Urban Dictionary, in show business, it means "good luck." (It has another meaning in French!)

I've just received an email from the Global Store: 'We want to let you know that your recent order was shipped today. Glam Nation Live CD/DVD' That's allowing 12 days for delivery. Is there any chance in the world that it could take any less than that? Does anyone know what mailing company is used? I've ordered from Amazon as well and am sure that it will arrive on 22nd. But what if the official one gets here sooner than that :D :D :D. Pleeeeeeeease - Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo .

Adam is following two more people on twitter. (He is following 290 now, how can you follow so many?) LOL. I follow about 750. This is where lists and TweetDeck come in. TweetDeck separates things into columns, i.e. @mentions & DM's. I use lists for my other columns. I have a separate column for Adam so his tweets are never buried. A separate column for Adam @mentions. Separate column for the Band/Dancers. And a couple more lists. I have TweetDeck on my phone too. The phone app actually has more features than the desktop - I can use separate alert sounds for diff columns. WWFM plays when Adam tweets. I get a bird chirp for DM's. I rarely use e-mail these days. Same reaction I have for NoAngel's: NO!!! ;D

LOL (I am so amused by all the Lambert men.)

Adam is really excited today. Hope he doesn't get nervous on stage. God knows some of us are very nervous for him already. He has millions of eyes on him tonight and judge on his performment.
Good luck Adam!
