Is she surprised? That America is sometimes dumb? S8 Finale? ...like I said - Scotty wins AI10. Regardless of anyone else on the show... ...this and the fact that a country group cleaned up at the Grammys is pretty depressing. |

I have butterflies in my stomach but I think it is excitement not nerves. I used to be a bundle of nerves on result night during season 8. I would much rather be nervous/excited for a performance where he comes back as a star than worry about elimination!

ha! I'm I'm team #kalm and kollected and #noroastpenguins! Dunno if this helps, but before I faced my first class of high-school students I kept telling myself "I'm excited, not nervous" the physical signals in your body are the same. It worked! I successfully psyched myself out. Can you feel the excitement? Also helpful for general nervousness in my experience - Bach's rescue remedy. A herbal spray that helps me deal with that "excited" : feeling plane travel gives me. Yes, oh yes!!! I can feel the excitement. Years ago, I was preparing for the opening night of "Carousel". Terrified. A member of the chorus came up to me and said "Don't say you're feeling afraid - say you're feeling excited! Those emotions are the same!" I took his words to heart. Or tried to. It was true! So, today I will say, in my excitement, I can't wait for tonight, and I am not afraid for Adam. All we should feel is love. I am so glad for this man, this experience and this journey. Don't know exactly where I'm headed, but I am dancing to the beat. Actually, I'm flailing here and I'm so excited and twisted up and ready to get on with it! I'm invested with the emotions I had when my children performed - on stage, at a soccer game, at a recital, at a swim meet, at their weddings. It never goes away. When you love, you become one; you angst; you worry; you thrill. I've always been amazed at how well they did - without me. Tonight should be no exception. I must leave any angsting to Leila and Eber. After all, I'm already momtomany. |
