The best day ever in Adamland and at Adamtopia!
I have not heard anything about snippets or anything Adam related trending today on twitter.
How is that possible?

Now we have to get radio play, so peeps will go to his album - and find what is available. It will not sell millions until we get that. I read about Adele, and it even took her awhile to get going, but once she did....look what happened. Her album 19 did okay. When she was promo-ing 21, it was not selling like wild fire. Actually it was luke warm. It was after she stopped her promotion that Rolling in the Deep took off, and her album began selling at record rates. Then we all know the history. So after BTIKM took the heat off the bastard album, hopefully there will be radio success with NCOE and he can do an Adele with Shady. No one is going to "do an Adele" for probably another decade, not even Adele.  IMO, these types of expectations are detrimental in the long run, especially at this stage of this era. Adam has put together an excellent, cohesive album. I'm hoping that it does very well, but I'm not expecting it to sell anything like Adele's 21. If fans are really expecting to see anything close to 10 million US sales, they are probably just setting themselves up for a huge disappointment. :( IMO, Adele should not be used as a comparison for ANY current artist! Everyone falls short! I'm extremely happy with what I've heard so far and very optimistic about Trespassing! Kids are the roadblock for my Adam stanning...now, finally a moment of peace and quiet for me to catch up. Not even half way through yet, but I got to say that I agreed with everything Tigerlily said in above post about our expectations, especially the bold part.  |

You know, while I think it's ok that Adam be an album seller and tour sell-out star, I really want him to have a radio hit or two. I think that is the most frustrating thing to not see him be mainstream. I hope NCOE is breakout song for him. I am an album buyer generally speaking so I'll of course get the album, and I'm liking the snippets. Echoing what others are saying, "Underneath" is pretty, and surprisingly, I like the studio "Chokehold" better than the live one. I will play this album more non-stop, one-track to the other, than FYE, I can tell. But fingers crossed for Adam having a radio hit. Hoping that 18-city radio tour paid off and they'll pay NCOE. OK back to the regularly scheduled flailing. Just one top 10 from this era, please, radio? Will do my part and dl the single tonight from the Atop itunes link. Oh honey im asking for three top tens at least!!! mmm just love that kickin in I totally forgot to mention "Kickin in" - I really like this third person storytelling in this song, and think this could be a hit. This is the other Pharrell song? Really likin' it. LOL |

Guys.. Everytime I'm listening to Shady with Sam's voice in it.. I keep imagining the three of them on stage, Adam, Sam & Nile.. and off course Adam & Sam dance their sexy dances... LOL I know! Must see Adam, Sam, and Nile do this song together!! It would be EPIC! (Sorry, Adam!) |

*small voice*I don't think RCA is f**kin idiots. They have poured tons of $$$$$$$ into this project and they let/supported Adam to make HIS album HIS way. And I love NCOE for the next single.  Mostly with you on this fanny. Perhaps they made a miscalculation with BTIKM - i like the song and I love the way Adam sings it (he always adds weight) but there are some stunners on this album that they could have risked NCOE great choice for second single in terms of mass appeal Adam is amazing,he made the album of his dreams and It's fantastic in all ways. He said to paraphrase ,he wanted to make a CD that he could live with,enjoy and perform for the next two to three years. SO we may get more singles from this album than we can imagine. |
