Noticed that the LP mystery in that tweet is meanwhile solved. When I got here and saw three pages of people just having a hard time thinking of anything but vinyl on a special day like today ...so funny, but clearly others already answered the question, he is referring to Lynsey Parker.
==============
The old LP sound vs CD sound debate always made sense to me for old music that was originally captured in analog format.
Whether there was ever an objective basis for this, is a debate that many have had over the years and I have not enough knowledge to contribute to it, but on a subjective level, yes, I liked my old warm vinyl sound and had an LP player for the longest time, but did eventually leave it behind when I moved to the US.
But what I have never understood is how this debate made any sense for newly and therefore digitally sourced music. Such music is translated back into the format needed for vinyl, so anything that people are somehow hoping to acoustically find on that vinyl will not be there anyhow because the source it comes from is digital and digitally layered throughout the creation process of that track.
So while I will certainly buy this Trespassing-Vinyl for sentimental value and for the large album cover and to actually have a medium with a true A and B side....I realize that from a sound standpoint it is not going to give me any new experience to listen to it that way. So I am not planning on buying any player for this. This is about look and feel for me, not about sound.
For those who want to join the debate about LP vs CD sound, here is a start into this discussion:
www.eetimes.com/electronics-blogs/audio-designline-blog/4033509/Vinyl-vs-CD-myths-refuse-to-dieBy the way, for older music, I am not sure that I agree with the opinion this author has here, but I also do not have the technical skill to argue him. But I do recall my own experience to be similar to what many others have reported.
Anyhow:
There are many links on the side that point you to other articles from there for those interested.

Kirby Center Concert: Based on that earlier tweet, I anticipate a 45 minute concert and would be quite surprised if that did not turn out true: Here is the online concert info:
98.5 KRZ presents ADAM LAMBERT w/ special guests Neon Hitch and The Cab - Friday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts.
Tickets go on sale this Monday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. and can be purchased at the Kirby Center Box Office, by phone at (570) 826-1100 and online at kirbycenter.org.
A special Kirby Member Pre-Sale begins this Friday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. To become a Kirby Member, call (570) 823-4599, ext. 225.
Yes, I also did sign up via the text message to 72881 too, so I will see what information will result from that and whether that will be timely for advance ticket sales on Friday. Somehow I am not banking on that though. I bought directly via the theater last time and had no problem, so perhaps I am underestimating the situation. But I hope for the best.
Always an optimist!

BBC debate: BBC is more than aware of Adam, this is not about awareness or even about Adam having people who value his art within the BBC, but somehow so far the end result was always negative, so there must be powerful roadblockers. Not sure what their agenda really is.
Clearly, if Carrie can be played in the UK (wtf Radio2), but Adam cannot, then there is more than American Idol resistance to deal with. And Radio 1 is of course a completely different animal anyways.
Question for UK folks and I know I may be aging myself here, but is Paul Gambaccini still doing the America's Greatest Hits broadcast or is that a thing of the past? Just wondering what his influence is nowadays? He is still with Radio 2 from what I can tell.
