I can't remember in what context Adam was using it but I was like this when somebody told us what it meant! It's on the GNT DVD, the "behind the scenes" section. The things we learn from him! Crap, gotta pull that out--I'll never get my work done now! Thanks!

@beatweek: Look for Adam Lambert on the cover of Beatweek Magazine in May. The full interview will also be on beatweek.com at that time.
Can we get this magazine at B&N or some place like that?

Can I swear? Insert the juiciest curses out of a sailor's mouth right here. I love ALL Adam's faces, apart from the one I tried and failed to describe. I'm off to google that. Postpone the crucifixion for later. Brb, I knew EXACTLY what you meant, even before the photos, and I don't like it, either. My theory has always been that it's a holdover from his musical theatre days when you have to make everything exaggerated so that it can be seen in the far seats. But it does look a bit jarring in a close up, IMHO. So move over and I'll join you on the Scrunchy Face DNW bench. Lol, Noreaster, such a relief! It felt a bit lonely on the bench You have explained it perfectly.

What has Adam said about a rusty umbrella??? (just looked that one up ) It was in any kind of context. He was in Switzerland , it was raining , he was holding an umbrella and he felt like singing a Rihanna song with his own lyrics

I just checked out my "touchstone" viseral-reaction vid for the first time in 2012. Yes, it still makes the very top of my head tingle...and draws a whimper from me. Emote away, bb...I love everything before this moment and since. (And a special awww for his turned up toes!)
TAKE THE TINGLE TEST! (1:09-1:17 are particularly orgasmic for me, don't really get it, but love it nonetheless...)
OMG. I've re-listened about 8 times now and it happens EVERY TIME whether I'm watching him or just listening. How can a voice or a certain note elicit an actual physical rush?? I need to go back and read about quarks and stuff. Or, just be grateful and enjoy it!

ETA: AND NCOE IS HEADED TO PASS BTIKM IN SALES RAPIDLY IF IT CONTINUES TO BUILD THE WAY IT IS. This is the best of all the news. It is easiest to kick off a new album with a song on the radio and selling on iTunes. It is too high for the purchases to just be from the "core OTT buy everything Adam" fans. (Not like I know any of those types. ) I wish for this of course, but I don't see that NCOE is doing as well YET as BTIKM in the initial itunes charts, possibly because of the focus on album pre-ordering/free download? If anyone wants to gift or recieve a gift of NCOE as a download there is a gifting post for the single at hooplamagnet: hooplamagnet.livejournal.com/127168.htmlBTIKM had a higher peak and then started dropping. It was the first thing people could buy. Fans crowded in and then it was over. Last I looked NCOE was ramping and had a different pattern. (Yes, the free download is part. The album offer had to effect it.) We'll see --- I am optimistic that.... 1. RCA and Adam have some committed radio support for NCOE on pop radio, and 2. That non-fans will buy NCOE. Time will tell.

Maybe, along with all the words to the Trespassing songs, there should be an "alternative" glossary of terms, so we not-so-hip folks can understand what Adam is *really* singing about. Or not... ;D Or maybe it's not that deep! He did a recent interview where he said a lot of the stuff they throw into the lyrics have no special meaning. It might just be something silly that happened during the writinging session, especially with Sam and Bonnie!

And one of the parts I love best is the moments after the song that it takes for him to pull it together--proves that he wasn't acting but feeling! Funny thing is that when this first aired I liked Adam but wasn't crazy for Adam. During this song, I was most impressed that he made the song so different. That's what was going through my head, not tingles--crazy! I sorta think maybe you need to know Adam before you really get him. Probably goes along with the scruchy face discussion. It could seem OTT without knowing the depths of his heart. Or, maybe, at the time, I was just too distracted by young children to totally pay attention. I'd like to think I wasn't just insane to not see it at first!
