RIP Dick Clark. Wonderful memories from youth.
Just saw this from FilmQueen on Twitter and I LOVE IT!
Re any potential negative reviews/comment on Adam's album: Fans should apply the same rules when posting as they do with any blog or column - don't engage the critic or other posters - simply leave your positive response. Bitching and moaning will change nothing except to brand you (and the fandom) as loony and self-righteous.
If someone has stated something truly offensive, report or flag the post. That's for the authorities to deal with.
If you love a song, briefly explain why. Your thoughts may prompt the haters or those less-than-impressed to take another listen or two!
If you don't have a positive response, refrain from posting.
If you want to express your opinion and it's not favorable, be honest but be nice. If you've read my Voice/Idol tweets you know I'm usually negative - but I don't call people names, I don't swear (okay, I did a couple times but that was about the Idol judges and stupid American voters), and I try to give thoughtful, hopefully accurate assessments (lord knows the judges/coaches/voting public are clueless).
This fandom is passionate and cray all-around, each in our own way, but baiting, ridiculing, and denouncing others' opinions simply because we disagree does Adam no favors. Keep in mind that many, many negative comments stem from rival fandoms, or worse, those who refuse to accept Adam for who he is. Those opinions come from jealousy, ignorance, and hatred and won't be changed no matter how loudly we protest.
Adam will win over his critics and the world with his stellar vocals and creativity. Our job as fans is to make sure he's successful enough to have the opportunity to do so.

ETA: Just talked to Sugaree. Her surgery is tomorrow, so please send out all the positivity you can for her recovery!
