Thom York is kind of the king of OTT body movements and facial contortions. I find it completely unenjoyable to watch him sing. A physical display of emotions in a performance is something that is often appreciated or valued by the audience. I posted this video last night as an example of someone else, other than Adam, who can communicate the pain behind their words. Watch Adele's face here, she is definitely showing a physical display of the pain she is singing about: Damn. I want Adam to have Adele's pianist. I have a total crush for his playing. Even though Adele is singing, I can't help but stare at him and his fingers...I sound weird... :-[ Adam had a great pianist & music director once ... Zach. But we haven't heard the new music director on keys solo yet... maybe he's good too. :-/

I have avoided theatre more than 20 years because I don't want to listen the actors sing badly (would prefer singers sing) and because of the exaggerated body language used on stage especially regarding sex like they think audience is stupid (overdoing it is often comical which might not be the intention of the scene). This avoidance surely have cost me some beautiful experiences in the process. There is a thin line with theatricality according the recipient's tolerance level - and it seems that I am on the more sensitive side in this respect. On the other hand, with music my tolerance level seems to be higher. um....People who sing on the Theatre stage are "singers who sing"! Most of them have spent years in formal vocal training and can sing circles around 99% of the "singers" who are on the radio, both past and present. As someone who has seen hundreds of musical productions on the stage, I can say without a doubt that the professionals performing on that stage 7-8 times a week are SINGERS!

Trespassing Deluxe Presale is still hanging on!! iTunes US#31 now. Q3... can you please check this itunes chart worldwide? Is there a delay in updates? Who is current? www.apple.com/euro/itunes/charts/top10popalbums.htmlPOP music albums show Trespassing as #7 in US, #6 in Canada, #8 in NZ and #3 in Finland I think this excludes the explicit albums.

OMG! I'm definitely losing my mind. I don't care for my failed test nor for a terrible essay which is about to be hand. The only think I do care about is to hear the full version of Underneath. I'm absolutely addicted to this song. Seriously, rank it between Top10 most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. I'm so much behind (on page 4), but I must say that I do agree with you. I can't stop listening to Underneath.

I think this excludes the explicit albums. Thanks, rama... Not familiar with the term until you mentioned it and I googled it. I now see 2 (Explicit Albums) above Adam's placement in US iTunes but still that should put Adam as #9 instead of #11 ... unless this worldwide chart is delayed in their updates. Thanks for the info...

OMG -- say "Ma'am" to a Northerner and watch the indignation spew forth -- it is taught as a form or respect here in the South and causes great confusion when one is chastised for using it. Laughable how our cultural differences can be misinterpreted. That's news to me. I was born, raised and spent my life as a northerner and never heard that one. I just asked my co-workers and they laughed. They never heard that either. I'm late to the party so maybe someone else has already said this ... but where I was raised (Northern California) being called Ma'am identifies you as someone OLD ... sort of puts you in Grandma territory ... so calling a younger woman "Ma'm" can be considered an insult ... When I came to Western Canada I was 32. The first time I was called "Ma'm" I thought it was very insulting. Ten years later I think the same whenever I am called that. I will never get used to it.

I loved it the first time I heard Undeneath, of course, but I didn't have it stuck in my mind until today when I saw the video with the lirycs posted in the morning. Now I am haunted by it. The only thing I want is to listen to it again and again....

An insult? ??? Wow - I guess it really does depend on which part of the country one lives in. 8-)
