Lord, I think I am very glad and very lucky that I do not hear flaws nor do I get thrown if is something different than the last version...........I like whatever he decides is his vision for that performance. I just know what I like when I hear it and am glad I can enjoy my music without listening so critically *sigh*............ This is me too.

I just know what I like when I hear it and am glad I can enjoy my music without listening so critically *sigh*............ Same here. But, we all experience things differently, and it's all okay. With art, I tend to focus on the whole rather than the parts. After attending plays or movies, my ex, who tended to watch with a critical eye because he sometimes directed plays, often focused on the production. For me, it was did I like it or not? Did it move me in some way? I'd walk out quiet and reflective about whatever feelings were evoked. He broke it down into all the parts and wanted to have a conversation about that. I sometimes had to ask him to stop because I wanted to stay with my original feelings and not analyze at least until I could digest what I had experienced. It's not that I can't be a critical thinker. It's just that the arts are my escape, and I tend to want to enjoy the experience as a whole. Adam totally takes me out of my head and into my heart and body in the most magical of ways. I usually want to hang on to that as long as I can.

Unless the whole performance was bad I don't think the minor "imperfections" even register with me. I must be a musical nitwit. I'm usually on sensory overload when I watch Adam perform :D

Just purchased my Aftermath Remix, sounds fantastic!
I am kind of surprised they only sell it for $1.29. Being for charity, I think they can ask for higher price.

I'm a musical nitwit too (tm Tinafea). And, I obviously think too highly of Adam, because whenever I do hear a different note, I still think Adam did it on purpose to change it up a bit 8-)

Did anyone else notice that the T-shirt Adam wore almost looks like a Black and White version of the Acoustic Live cover? Subliminal message with those starts going across the top! Adam is smart! The t-shirt looks good, I guess it's new, right?

AND I OFFICIALLY PRONOUNCE THESE JEANS THE GBJEANS!!! There were perfect on The Talk and there were perfect on AI Hmmmm i like the sound of it... GBJEANS GBJEANS GBJEANS..... I usually talk to my sister every week or so, she can be a little difficult, but she's texted me 3 times and called me 3 times since the end of AFTERMATH last night. It is seriously creeping me out because I've avoided any discussion of Adam for so long (ahhh, like Nov 22, 2009) so she didn't say something judgemental and I would fail at being the peacemaker I usually am and rip her throat out, figuratively or literally. I'm accepting the slightly condescending attitude about his new look (I can hear the "why didn't he do this in the first place)because I have not heard her get excited about anything for so long. Excited might be too strong a word, but "interested" is more accurate. She is a very smart woman, but addicted to reality shows (got a little spark of interest last night when I mentioned Adam's boyfriend ,which I mentioned on purpose, was winner of Finnish BB). Maybe now she will expand her horizon and listen to a little music. When we were in high school, my friends and I would listen to records every night on someone's porch, but never saw her and friends do the same. That has never changed. I continue to look at all of this as the wave of Adam's future, new blood to vitalize the fan base and maintain his trajectory to superstardom.

He brings something totally new to my pop listening world. Massive levels of vocal skill! I listen to tons of pop music and am able to just relax and enjoy despite any pitch issues, etc. I don't consider myself a music snob in the least, although I thoroughly enjoy listening to classically trained voices and appreciate the level of training involved to attain Adam's level of mastery. I didn't think it was possible to find a pop singer that could bring his classical training to the table in such an authentic way. But Adam has upped the ante. Believe me, I was all beaming joy watching his performance last night! I just wanted to respond to some of the initial concerns voiced last night

Yeah this is my feeling also. I didn't want to condemn the man, as I really like him a lot, but he has a long and recent history of drug abuse/rehab. He was not right tonight, and it wasn't Adam! That was my opinion exactly. Been Aerosmith fan long, long (long) time, love Steven but last night was a little weird. I didn't take it as an affront to Adam, more as if Steven was "detached." I was happy when some who were present said their meeting and interaction went well, for Adam's sake, because he is a fan. I hope Steven is okay and keeps a leash on his demons. I am so proud of Adam's time with the contestants, I hope there was more off camera before or after. He always knows how to lay to rest any perceived issues, like taking time to talk to and be silly with James, allaying any fears or assumption of strife. Even though it is silly to think he would even care what a contestant has to say, it takes one more piece of pettiness out of the blogosphere. Since you are a Steven fan, I will relay 2 Steven stories from yesterday. Was afraid to do it last night because of all the Steven "hatin." As they bring the line into the studio area, there is a long drvieway we have to walk down. It's the same driveway the limos and/or stars drive their cars down to get to the "secure area." While we were standing there waiting for our seat assignments, from the back of the line we could hear a wave of screams slowly rolling towards the front, (where we were.) So we peaked around the crowd to see what was going on. There in all his Steven Tylerness is Steven, coming to work all alone on his motorcycle! He was going really slow, grinning from ear to ear (had a small helmet on) sunglasses, dressed all in leather. As he slowly moved down the line he both waved and blew kisses to everyone and made as much eye contact as he could. It really was very cool. Then after the show, both Steven and Jennifer shook hands and gave hugs to the audience that was on the lower level. Steven's bodyguard, literally, had to drag him out of there because Steven wasn't turning anyone away. I've been to Idol shows in 3 season. The old judges never interacted with the audience. They left during every single commercial and went.... No one knew where? These judges stayed in their seats, had their make-up retouched, talked to the audience and talked and laughed with each other. There is genuine chemistry between them and they look like they are enjopying themselves. As an Idol fan, it was so great to see.
