See my post above. She is fine. Now, if only algalhi would check in.... Thanks for your concern! I live in the hills also, so I'm fine. Woke up about 3 a.m. to check on things. Think there will be some damage, but hopefully not too much. Warning still in effect. Actually, it was Adam's tweet that alerted me to the Japan earthquake. So, went from the euphoria of watching Adam on the big screen TV to watching the horrifying footage of the tsunami in Japan. Surreal. Knew we would have a tsunami alert in Hawaii. Mahalo and sending love to everyone, especially people in Japan!

alreference The Librarian TV Squad: Adam Lambert Impresses 'American Idol' Audience With Subdued Performance (VIDEO). aol.it/gnEby6 #♒♎♈ 49 minutes ago qoutes: Adam Lambert, the former runner-up of 'American Idol' (Thu., 8PM on FOX) returned to the stage that made him a star with a stripped down version of his song "Aftermath." The singer brought the acoustic version so that the lyrics and message of the song could shine. read more here: www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/10/adam-lambert-impresses-american-idol-audience-video/We still saw that signature tongue of his slip out of his mouth on one of the bigger notes, but it was a much smaller performance than the decadence that marked most of his time as a contestant on the 'Idol' stage. If he/she thought that was decadence, probably good thing he wasn't in Amsterdam. Why do I feel so sorry for these people who have been out fo the Adam loop for so long? It's their own fault, but still.....

Watching Adam last night was great. I didn't get to see it until late last night (PST) so I couldn't join the angsting and flailing. I think everyone was exhausted and past out by the time I checked in. Just wanted to say that my DH, who has become quite a stan himself, at the end of the performance turned to me and said "just showed them how it is done, huh?" with a big ;D on his face. I didn't have much time after that to swoon, as I started to hear about the quake in Japan. All of my relatives (sans my German ML), and many friends are in Japan. I was immediately reminded of the Kobe earthquake, which wasn't even as large, but was devastating. I couldn't get a hold of anyone over the phone, due to busy circuits, but thank heavens for technology, was able to email my sister to her cell phone and got confirmation that my immediate family is all safe. Well, my dad was stranded in Tokyo station, but managed to get to an area that was safe (and away from tsunamis) for an over night stay. I have been checking the news all morning. I am relieved to hear that there does not seem to be any reports of damages from tsunamis and many places that placed warnings have lifted them. I am concerned about the extent of damage of the earthquake, though. In many English reports I have read that it is the largest earth quake in over 140 years, but domestic reports are saying it is the largest in Japanese history (this one is reported to be M8.9, the one in 1770 was M8.8). I love you all here at ATOP. You are all so loving and caring, extending your wishes to those who are affected by the disasters.

Not going to give him a click, but wish he would elaborate WHAT they could learn from Diitty. If the answer is how to earn $450m by being a pain in the ass, arrogant... never mind, then I'll agree with him. I wouldn't mind learning that lesson myself

Question: Do you think that his raspiness voice from last night due to a bit of sinus problem? Sometimes you can hear it when he talks but not when he sings, but last night it was vice versa.
I don't think you can just say ok i'm going to sing a bit raspsy in my voice right?
Anyway, my dh heard him sing Aftermath the first time, (unlike me all GNT versions) and he said afterward that was fantasic!
So I guess that's all matter for those who were first time listerners and thought he was great and that made me happy.

This is interesting because my hubby also commented about this performance. He tends to be pretty critical and when it was over said, "Wow!" Then, "He's never looked better."
