Took me all morning until now to finish last night's thread and get up to snuff here. First things first - my thoughts are with all those affected (or yet to be affected) by the earthquake & tsunami. Really scary stuff. So glad Atopians are safe! Things are still spinning around in my head from that stunning performance last night. One of my favorite looks of all time - I can SEE his gorgeous eyes. Rad1109 said: I feel this way too. I'm grateful for those that have the music expertise to dissect the performances, but I might find that a diversion to my enjoyment of the music. I loved everything about the Acoustic Aftermath. Everything. And every blog/news source that commented on the performance was very complimentary. Hell EVEN JOHN MOSER LIKED IT! It was obviously WIN/WIN for Adam and for The Trevor Project!

American Idol: Top 13 Results Show RecapQuotes: Tonight’s guest performers were Adam Lambert and Diddy Dirty Money. I’m not sure if Diddy Dirty Money is just what Diddy’s calling himself these days, or if it’s a group of some sort. Either way, I’d forgotten how bad of a rapper he is. Lambert fared better, performing an acoustic version of his new single, “Aftermath,” which has a similar message to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and was written for the It Gets Better campaign. The song was forgettable, but it’s hard to knock the intention, and any appearance of the most memorable contestant in Idol history is welcome.Link: www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2011/03/american-idol-top-13-results-show-recap.html

Just purchased my Aftermath Remix, sounds fantastic! I am kind of surprised they only sell it for $1.29. Being for charity, I think they can ask for higher price. Was thinking that... so hard to raise significant funds with such a small sale price. Seems like lots of goodness for all anyway such as: - more nationwide TV exposure for Trevor Project & It Gets Better campaign with AFL endorsement - Upbeat dance club remix a great way to reach intended audience - The Remix initiative demonstrates what a leader and a kind, caring, proactive human being AFL is - should translate into more fans/sales. - Plus we have a fun, dancy remix of Aftermath to add to our collection. Life is good!!!! MyS*&@^#r50: Great recaps and thanks for giving us your real-time take that Steven's interactions with our boy were warm. Also, explaining how once again, AFL recovered from a "trip". Would have been a nightmare for him had he splatted but instead he turned it to his advantage with a fun pose. Oh, HE GOOD!!! Hugs to all in Tsunami affected areas. We are all thinking of you and sending our positive energy your way.

That was my opinion exactly. Been Aerosmith fan long, long (long) time, love Steven but last night was a little weird. I didn't take it as an affront to Adam, more as if Steven was "detached." I was happy when some who were present said their meeting and interaction went well, for Adam's sake, because he is a fan. I hope Steven is okay and keeps a leash on his demons. I am so proud of Adam's time with the contestants, I hope there was more off camera before or after. He always knows how to lay to rest any perceived issues, like taking time to talk to and be silly with James, allaying any fears or assumption of strife. Even though it is silly to think he would even care what a contestant has to say, it takes one more piece of pettiness out of the blogosphere. Since you are a Steven fan, I will relay 2 Steven stories from yesterday. Was afraid to do it last night because of all the Steven "hatin." As they bring the line into the studio area, there is a long drvieway we have to walk down. It's the same driveway the limos and/or stars drive their cars down to get to the "secure area." While we were standing there waiting for our seat assignments, from the back of the line we could hear a wave of screams slowly rolling towards the front, (where we were.) So we peaked around the crowd to see what was going on. There in all his Steven Tylerness is Steven, coming to work all alone on his motorcycle! He was going really slow, grinning from ear to ear (had a small helmet on) sunglasses, dressed all in leather. As he slowly moved down the line he both waved and blew kisses to everyone and made as much eye contact as he could. It really was very cool. Then after the show, both Steven and Jennifer shook hands and gave hugs to the audience that was on the lower level. Steven's bodyguard, literally, had to drag him out of there because Steven wasn't turning anyone away. I've been to Idol shows in 3 season. The old judges never interacted with the audience. They left during every single commercial and went.... No one knew where? These judges stayed in their seats, had their make-up retouched, talked to the audience and talked and laughed with each other. There is genuine chemistry between them and they look like they are enjopying themselves. As an Idol fan, it was so great to see. Awww, loved the information. When he stayed at our hotel every year with the band, he was always really nice to everyone and just chilled on the property. The only time he ever had a bodyguard was when he went out somewhere. He comes to SoFL every year, or at least did, to ride with the bikers for Toys for Tots. People line the highway, which is scary in Fort Lauderdale with all the crazy drivers, and wave as the caravan goes by, Steven in the lead. I'm sure they are people who have been pulled over so they can pass, but it's still cool. Lucky you!!!!
