... I am in soul heaven. Every thing from there on is just gravy but such tasty gravy ... more like becamel sauce with extra butter. PERFECT. You are me. Okay, well it took an embarrassing amount of time but Snoopy is back, albeit a bit danced-out at the moment. Clearly, it was worth it.

makes a hella lot of sense to me, Craazyforadam. I do believe that the label knows they have a treasure and he's being treated very differently. Ohhh.. RCA knows they have a treasure in Adam and I think Sony World Wide knows too. I remembered Barry Weiss saying in one of Adam's TV interview, not sure if it's 20/20 or E! THR, saying the challenge for the label with Adam is how they are going to package his TALENT. Hehe, I am 12.. : Yeah, the comment was that, from the moment you saw him he was a stadium performer, and the trick was to get that and package it into an album. Or something like that lol

I know it's a different era, so you can't really make comparisons, but does anyone remember how many copies FYE sold in the first week...I'm thinking around 225,000???? but my memory is shot

Since not much is going on, anyone want to play a guessing game? What do you think Adam's album will sell Week 1 in the US based on all you know so far? I realize we don't know yet how extensive the promo will be or how hard NCOE is being pushed to radio prior to the release date, but I'm bored. What do you think? Would anything around 100,000 be good? I'm hoping he cracks that. I'm thinking 75000-100000. All depends on the promo they have lined up.

I think worldwide may have been 225,000. ETA: Or the HDD prediction was 225,000 but the sales were definitely 198,000 and #3 on BB200

I think it's an old People. When I say People mag is a good "get" I am not talking about the stupid Idol articles that pop up, maybe, once a year. I am hoping for an actual article (cover if I'm dreaming). Kelly Clarkson got a very nice 2-page article last fall. It's not a regular issue of People, it's a specially produced soft cover book on American Idol that is published by People. I saw it in a CVS yesterday; it covers all 10 seasons and has updates on what each of the Top Ten from each season are doing now. I immediately turned to Season 8 and skimmed past Matt and Anoop and Danny to see what they said about Adam and he wasn't there! There was a full page picture of Kris where they talked about the finale and how Kris said "Adam deserved this" when he won. I thought it was very weird that he wouldn't at least have a picture, so I flipped to the front and they had The Top Five Most Successful Idols and there was a two page spread on him, right after Kelly and Carrie and Daughtry. So apparently now he doesn't have to even hang out the same pages as the rest of Season 8 - he gets to play upfront with the big dogs! I just realized that a better stan would have purchased the book, clipped out the article, scanned the pages and translated the copy into Norwegian so everyone could see it. I'm sorry! I'm not worthy! (plus I was carrying a gallon of milk and five pounds of cat food, so my hands were full) You crack me up! ;D

Yay for you!! I just stopped by for few minutes because Twitter is laughing at the gloom and doom that resides here now days. Adam's life is in such a good place, why oh why do ppl search and search till they can find something to worry or complain about. Okay, see you in another few weeks if I'm feeling strong enough to withstand the doomsday scenarios. I don't know, I could be wrong, but I thought everyone here was entitled to express their opinions, thoughts & concerns. Not everyone deals with their emotions and such in the same manner. I would be the last one to condemn anyone for just saying what they feel. I might not agree with what they say, but scroll is an easy thing to do in this case. The one thing I do agree with is we all have our own feelings. Everyone should be able to express that here. And, yes, some flack will come from it if it's not shared by the majority. That's a given, and allowed also. Some people are worriers. Some people are always optimistic. Some people are some of both. But, basically, we are all the same. We want what's best for Adam!! We all love him and want him to be successful. Personally, I take the good with the bad. If someone feels the need to express their worries, then so be it. It doesn't affect me. IMO, it might be better to reassure the person rather than jump all over them. I have seen the discussion on twitter and it saddens me. So much judgement there. Strange that they aren't brave enough to come here and say what they have to say. I hope I haven't crossed any lines here. I certainly didn't intend to. Ok, back to listening to the snippets!! PURE JOY, I TELL YA!!!!! PURE JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, but it's funny you said that because Lifeguard and I had lunch few days ago and he said the comeback line for all the Debbie Downer posts is "everyone allowed to voice their opinion." That is correct, they are, it's just that some others, who are free to scroll past those they know will angst, have given up and chosen to not have their excitement dampened. It's everyone's choice to see the world as they want, either as a joyous place or a disaster waiting to happen. Both are correct at times. No right or wrong, just difference of opinion.
