I don't know if anyone else hears it. But to me "Pop That Lock" reminds me of the Pet Shop Boys
(a favorite of gay men here and in the UK), as well as MJ, of course.

Gah. Bet he really *is* bringing back the Melvin.....that's usually what happens when he vanishes from sight for a wbhile. Who's got that vid with the 2 gals and the Melvin freakout? Heathcliff -- Pet Shop Boys and maybe Erasure as well. (I know my gay groups, LOL--I've had gay friends for over 30 years now. I've loved dance and electronic music for even longer. Geez I'm old!)
Two of the most compelling pop songs I know are Ordinary World by Duran Duran and Avalon by Roxy Music -- Chokehold reminds me of both of them -- which is a really good thing. They both have a sexy, almost hypnotic, swing to them that is a little dark as well. I love Chokehold, and hopefully we will see it performed on the Jimmy Kimmel concert...please, please, please.
Still loving Shady -- I woke up with it in my brain and it's been playing on an endless loop there ever since!
