I loved Christian Siriano...she has great taste and she is his friend too. Thanks for this interview. I know others who have Graves Disease. It can really be devastating until they get it under control.

Night, bb!! {{{HUGS}}} Ah, the pitter patter of little feet just waking up. Later guys. You just brought a rush of beautiful memory back with those words. My kids were very active, like Adam's parents say he was, see how I tied that in, LOL, and the first sound I would hear every morning when they were young was little running feet, so excited to be moving around in a new day. I love Susie Fierce's post last night at the end of yesterday's thread about watching the young boy at a concert dancing full out with all the joy and abandon of childhood. She hit it right on the head in saying that Adam still brings that kind of pure joy to his performances. Going to an Adam concert is like going to Disneyland with a six year old. He makes me live again the pure thrill of a ride, the magic of imagination, the spectacle of the parade, the awe at the fireworks, the fun, fun, fun of each moment, and the joy at being in the happiest place in the world with him, LOL. No wonder I want to go there again and again. And that all I feel is love, love, love... I will always love Adam Lambert for reminding me to keep childhood wonder alive in every year I live and for allowing me to "put my little hand in his" and make time in my life to experience it all again. I love the CBS comment about Adam's eyes, baby eyes. His eyes are magnetic; they draw you in, and once they have you there, they connect. They look right in and stay in the moment with you; even more, they share the moment with you and let you in on it. Somehow, in a packed audience, or coming through a TV screen, they find you and send you right down the rabbit hole where you taste the color of whatever energy Adam is feeling in each moment- wonder, vulnerability, playfulness, sensitivity, shadows, light, love... you're in the Magic Kingdom together, and you never want to go home.

We've had the discussion here before about the way Adam seems to find the camera when performing. Even in a full room we manage to capture his eyes looking at us in a video or still. Amazing!

Good morning, everyone!
four56, so happy to hear that you are safe, even though there is still so much going on in Japan. I don't know if there are any other Atop peeps in Japan as I just scanned yesterdays thread.
My thoughts & prayers go out to ALL in Japan, and all other places that have been affected. To me, this is so overwhelming that I can't quite wrap my mind around it, even though I have been watching since late Thurs. night. Just so very frightening and sad.
It may seem strange that I could be affected, living in the central US. But, I have a son and a brother in HI. I didn't get much sleep Thurs. night, for sure.
Aloha, so glad you are safe also. Your tweets kept me calm during the night & early morning, even though my son is on the Big Island. Thank you so much!
My son called while I was at work yesterday. He is fine, which I was sure he would be. He used to live right on the coast at Kona, but moved last year, to a much higher altitude. My brother is at a much higher elevation, so knew all was well with him.
I called my son back when I got home from work yesterday. There is quite a bit of damage at Kona and up and down the coastline. No lives were lost, so that's the most important thing. I saw a video of the surge along Ali'i drive, the highway that runs through Kona right along the water. I recognized where it was and it made me sad to see the flooding. Really stupid guy who was standing in the middle of it taking the video though.
My son said his workplace was severely damaged. He works at the Four Seasons resort (north of Kona). He is a chef there and said the resturant that he works in was totally flooded. Said there were lawn chairs floating around in the kitchen. This was a fairly new resturant, about 1.5 years old. I remember he told me that the kitchen alone cost about $7 million. Of course, that's just material things, not lives, so definately not so important.
I'm a bit concerned when he will be able to work again though. What I didn't know was that he has been off work because of his back. He thinks he has another bulging disk in his back and may have to have surgery again. Just another thing for Mom to worry about. But, he's a grown up now, so he'll deal with it.
He also told me that Bubba Gumps (a resturant in downtown Kona) was completely trashed. I've eaten there and it's right on the ocean. Really cute place. I'm sure all the shops right there were damaged in some way. Again, irrelevant as compared to loss of life.
We got to talking about the newest erruption of Kilauea, the active volcano on the Big Island. He said there were so many tourists who came there to see that, and ended up in the middle of a tsunami. I guess Four Seasons was finding places for all of their guests, and moving them there.
So, there was more damage than has been reported on the Big Island. I am going to do some googling today to see what I can find. I've been to so many place at Kona and along the coastline, that I want to see what all has happened.
I am so grateful that my family is safe. I'm so very sad for all those in Japan who have been lost, and their families who are grieving. As I said before, this is so very overwhelming to me.

She and Adam will have sooo much fun working together!
