I was talking about Adam and gay community with my good friend lately. He is gay, very intelligent and experienced man, so I wanted to know his opinion about it. He said to me, that he thinks it's fear of stereotype issue. People always thinks in cliches and sterotypes. They want easy answers. So when someone from gay minority is in spotlight, like for example Adam, and he make some idiotic mistakes, people will assume that gay community is bunch of Adams - they all do the same mistakes, they all alike. In his opinion gay comunnity is afraid of another sterotype to deal with and it's natural thing. This is like the same batlle all over again, every time. Gay community just trying to be cautious and sometimes they can overact. I hope that you will understand what I want to tell (my english is not good and this is a delicate matter) and I don't upset anyone with it. What are these "idiotic mistakes" they think he's made. I dont see any idiotic mistakes. The term makes me think someone knows better than ADam himself what Adam should be doing - armchair advisors. If they are of the opinion that he made idiotic mistakes then the AMAs would be the pinnacle. I was one of those who was very turned off by that performance and I'm talking all of it not just the few famous parts. If I hadn't been a fan I wouldn't have gone looking to see how he handled the downside. For some people it's the opposite and that performance pulled them in. All depends upon their perspective. |

You know that pic of Adam walking on water? One of my all time favorites. So, I searched the net to find the highest resolution and ordered a poster made from Walmart. 20x30. Walmart warned me that the resolution was too low, but I told the computer I wanted it anyway. Well, it came today in the mail, and it is stunning. And only $20 for printing and shipping. Great price. If anyone is contemplating doing the same, I say "go for it." But, the cheap poster frame I was able to find does not do it justice. It really needs a quality mat and a solid frame. So, am I gonna fork over $100 or more to frame it like it should be framed? Hmmmm. Me thinks that resistance is futile. I'll probably capitulate and take it to a custom frame shop. Damn! This rabbit hole is deep. Thats awesome! I love that picture - its like a story. Would you please give me the link for the highest resolution version you found on the net? Thanks!  I think that wal posted the link several pages back. The only problem with that version is that it has a small white border around three sides of the picture, so when I had it made into a poster the border was on it, but not on the fourth side, so it looked off center. So, I just spent a boatload of money ordering a mat to fit the photo without the white showing. And a frame to fit with the mat, cuz standard 20x30 frames would not. I'm sure that if you are any good with editing photos you could cut out the white on the three sides. |

Late to the show, but which WLL Adam performance would you recommend to send to a friend who I am introducing to Adam (and who is a rocker guy) ? Thank you. ETA: Also, the Idol tour ones are great! Not sure if your friend would like the slowed down versions, but Foxwoods is one of the best WLL vocals IMO. And the sound system there was fantastic so the vids are really good! Thank you for the Foxwoods suggestion, I will send him one fast and one slow one, that way he can appreciate Adam's variety |
