Bless Tommy McFly's music-lovin little heart. For a strangely young guy, he gets a lot of power on that up-and-coming station, and he really seems to respect Adam and "gets" his fan base. Talked to him for nearly an hour after my M&G during the DC promo tour. He's a true music geek, loves radio, and appreciates fandoms since he's been a fan-boy himself. Tommy's one of the good guys :-) |

Kimmel airs at 5AM here!  Lol, it woudn't be the first time for me to get up ( or not go to bed at all) that early for Adam  But I hear you, it is cruel! I don't know if 5 AM there is 4 or 6 AM here. Does anybody happen to have a world clock for Jimmy Kimmel Show? Also, is it true that only 2 songs are going to be shown and the rest recorded and played later? If it is, I might just play it cool and oversleep. Omg, I feel bad even typing it. No way, Jose, I'll be up and loving every second of it!!! Coffee is the key Lots and lots of it. Completely off the NCOE topic, but I just posted a response at EW under the "Best Queen Idol Performances" article for Adam-Kris finale. One person criticized Queen for attempting a "comeback" with a new singer (she wouldn't even mention Adam's name)--as if Brian and Roger should just crawl into a cave forever instead of being allowed to perform their own songs live. What is with these people? I loved Freddy, but he's gone. Bands lose their lead singers, but life goes on. These are just a handful of select performances, too, and not even a "comeback." Someone is just jealous that Adam's the star after AI, and is being lauded by the likes of Queen, no less. Clearly an OLFIP fan. Done venting. Back to lurking.

A large AMEN to Adam's interview in INSTINCT. He tells it like he sees it. I have so much love and respect for Adam on all different levels.

Adam on Entertainment Tonight Broadcast 4.25.12 Entertainment Tonight did a segment about Queen to promote their appearance on tonight on American Idol. They showed a clip of Adam singing with Queen at the EM’s and identified him as “Queen’s new singer" Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=841&page=1#ixzz1t9aOc86qI was really surprised that EW did this little promo on their show last night. They used to really have an "in" with Adam, and vice versa. They did the "Exclusive" on his IIHY photo shoot. Now, they run this little gem of "Queen's new singer, Adam Lambert". Do they not know what is going on with him these days? Did they report on Adam doing the EMA's last November? Have they had a segment on the new album? Just wondering WTF? And surprised that there hasn't been some media mention of that little statement. Guess everyone thinks this is old news? I just have to wonder if this was a good thing, you would think for those not keeping up with Adam, it would be very confusing. We live in the Adam bubble, but I think a lot of people don't know anything about what Adam has been doing since Idol. And now, "Queen's new singer, Adam Lambert" comes out on national TV entertainment coverage. My brain may not be fully engaged yet........................... |
