Sunday always brings the gifts of the wonderful editorial essays! Thank you Q3 and No Angel! Today, though, is a little different: while I love both essays, the BEST part for me is NoAngel's post TITLE: The Unbearable Rightness of Seeing Adam Live 4/29/2012 by NoAngel So, from one Kundera "fan" (can one be a "fan" of a writer?) to another - THANK YOU! Ad me to the Kundera fan group (and very impressed to find others here :D )

oh ok because it says something about him inside someone or something It's about letting someone into your inner feelings, your soul, with nothing to hide. It is a release for Adam to be this honest and allow us inside to see who he really is. He does not want to hide any part of himself from us. This is a beautiful man who has opened himself to all of us who love him and want to know him. It takes courage for someone to be this honest. Just the emotion he is singing with tells me that this song means a great deal to him. Who sings with this kind of emotion? No one I have heard in years.

Adam's emotional honesty in Underneath is truly wrenching. The lyrics are extremely brave and noble. IMO, he's not naming himself a "freak." It's what others are labelling him. (Don't forget, he didn't write WWFM or Underneath) I would definitely consider PINK freaky, but in a very good way. Yep, he didn't write both songs, but ironically enough the lyrics of the songs can be really aplied to Adam. WWFM's because of the AMA's performance. Underneath: People online called him a freak just because he doesn't like to dress or look like other guy, he likes to stand out; ALSO because the way Adam expresses himself and his arts, make up, guyliner, nail polish, looks campy. The way I'm reading the lyrics of Underneath is " don't judge him based on what he looks like, what he puts on, or his lifestyle because there're so much more to him than just the make up, the nail polish, the guyliner or his lifestyle- please look underneath what's on the surface"

If this isn't the ultimate definition of a man who radiates joy and happiness I don't know what is.

If this isn't the ultimate definition of a man who radiates joy and happiness I don't know what is. I wonder how it feels before and during such a performance, where you sing your new songs first time to live audiance. In addition to that there must be private issues as well between the boys, since some songs are so obviously about them. I mean how would you feel if your special someone would be listening/singing about you, when there so many people in place and on TV sharing that experience?

If this isn't the ultimate definition of a man who radiates joy and happiness I don't know what is. My heart soared when he broke out into this grin. Near the end, pressure off, having a great time. Loved it.

In an interview way back when, Adam called himself a "freak" adding "in the best way." Others may use the term in a derogatory manner, but I think Adam embraces it.
