Jamie, I couldn't fine the "rest of the story" at idolforums Is there any chance you could bring it here? Or do you have a more specific link? The first part has me laughing so hard. Here it is.... I don't know if Q3 will delete it though... idolforums.com/index.php?showtopic=641166&st=2200

Spotify definitely counts for Billboard ranking so I have it running 24 hours a day & I am voting on popcrush in hopes that my votes are counting even though it says that I already voted. I figure it can't hurt. I do know for a fact that many stations are fine with peeps requesting out of the area (AO peeps have personally contacted them & most welcome all who stream online) but I know it is frowned upon here so won't belabor the point and hope I am not banned. Just didn't want anyone to think we are incautious supporters. The problem is, that there are pitfalls and djs have reacted negatively and even banned WWFM from airplay for two weeks because of fans spamming who weren't listening to the station. If you request locally (or from the few super-large national stations that do have significant streamers like Q102 and Z100), politely, and not more than x1 time a day, it's all good. But I've myself seen DJ's get upset when: *they have on air callers requesting who are out of area and/or not listening to their station *they are tweeted with spam request tweets (the persons twitter feed has a long list of @ radio station tweets in a row, or even jammed into the same tweet) *they see a fan or fan group urging 'everyone' to request at a list of predominately local-market stations in a twitlonger or something. This is even worse when the station is replied to in the tweet. *fans are demanding in tone, rude or disparaging about other artists the station plays, or disappointed sounding in their tweets or contact with the station or djs. Unfortunately when you blur the line about out of area requesting, IMO some fans will step right over it. While of course everyone means well and is trying to support Adam, it only takes one fan unintentionally irritating one DJ or program director to cause unwitting harm.

It's really long and I don't know how to link to a direct post there, but scroll almost to the end of the page. It's the 2nd to last post on that page.

Tommy McFLY @tommymcfly Hey #GLAMBERTS 2get ready4 @adamlambert to HEADLINE #FRESHtival - Send fav Adam Concert Stories Tommy@947FRESHFM.com - Will publish the BEST Does anyone remember the story a woman from Canada told about leaving her boarding pass and ID with someone from Planet Fierce when she left for a cigarette during a layover in Chicago? Here's an excerpt. Full story at bottom of page in red at link. I approach Mr. Supervisor with a beaten puppy look and tell him that I have a BIG PROBLEM to which he remarks "Who doesn't?" I explain to him that my purse with passport and boarding pass are sitting at Gate H6 in the terminal and here I am outside the secured area with no ID whatsoever. Now this guy didn't make supervisor for nothing - he's bright! He asked me who I left my purse with. I explain that this really nice lady that I just met at the Montreal airport but who is an Adam Lambert fan like me. Quizzical look ensues (I wonder why!). OK, Mr. Supervisor is an 'in charge' kind of guy (not to be mistaken with CIC). He inquires as to the color of my purse - my answer.... 'black' - "That's not very helpful", he says. I show him my new boarding pass and for the first time his ununiformed friend comments on the fact that AA has issued a boarding pass to someone with absolutely NO ID! I explain that they did ask me questions only I would have answers to and that seems to quiet him down.
So... back to Mr. Supervisor - he is truly trying to find a solution to my dilemma. So he asks me the name of the lady who is holding my purse - I tell him "I don't know, but please don't laugh, if you ask for a lady from Planet Fierce, she will come forward". Mr. Supervisor: "Planet What". Me: "Planet Fierce". He looks at his buddy and they laugh - GRRRRRRRRRRR!
Next question from Mr. Supervisor: "Does she know YOUR name?" Me: "Uh no, but she does know me as Madamimadam". Now Mr. Supervisor totally cracks up! He asks me where the hidden camera is because he just knows he's being set up! After assuring him that he is not on Candid Camera, he finally introduces his friend to me. "This is Ruben - he's the head of Security at O'Hare Airport" GULP!!!! So Mr. Supervisor goes off on his quest to find a woman from Planet Fierce at Gate H6 and leaves me with instructions to stay with Ruben. idolforums.com/index.php?showtopic=641166&st=2200 I'm LMAO!!! This is hilarious!!!

It is a total waste of time to vote in the Popcrush poll unless you change your IP address. You can clear your cookies and it looks like you have voted again, but you have not. You can vote once from home, once from your phone, once from a Starbucks or the public library, once from work, etc. but you have to change your location.
Three computers voting from the same network = 1 vote.
----
There are other spammable polls. This is just not one of them.

I do understand what you are saying but who do they think they are, God! All we are doing is trying to support Adam just the way other fan bases do. If they have a problem it's because they already do. People listen to stations from all over the world. I myself last night listened to The Flea just to see what they played other than Liams program and I have to say it was fantastic! What a mix of music from 20, 30 years ago to today. I will listen again. I have the same problem here in Madison. My top 40 station WZEE hasn't played BTIKM or NCOE yet. I'ts like pulling teeth. I will keep trying anyway, once a day. I truly believe it would go over if they gave it a chance. I always hear, well we haven't had many requests for it. Ya I'm not surprised no ones heard it yet. I also hear some very obscure music played from artists I've never heard of. As soon as they release it's on the radio! Total BS! Sorry for the rant, it just bugs me so much!
