Why, yes, Adam has a VERY good point! ;D
Lol, I drop in for the first time since Kimmel and get wet from all the splashing in the shallow end! LOVE it!
And just so ya know, that horn of plenty was OBVIOUS at the show, definitely NOT a shadow! I think he was really ~excited (understatement) to be performing his new songs. Lucky us! Guy sings from his "root" and it pays off in many, many ways!
So excited for the music video and to see how he stages NCOE on Idol...always something to look forward to with Adam!
HooplaIs this your recap?
LOL, 4MS, you are funny. No, not my recap although it does address the pertinent POINT here today!
I got home very late Friday night, had a busy weekend, and by now figure everything has been said.
In a nutshell, the whole day/night was FABULOUS.
VickyStix numbered fans in line, the numbers were honored, all very civilized. I wore nice boots with heels which was very dumb--had to leave line and go shoe-shopping, and luckily JustKaren found a $5 pair of b/w Ked-like tennies with gold toes--PERFECT for Kimmel AND Burning Man!
Visited with a ton of new Adam friends and old. MET BYRON COOKE and I must say, I was smitten! He is tall, thin, and adorable in person and so funny/sweet. (and I'm in his video!)
Was in second row left of stage as you look at it with a fantastic view of the stage==and the tip! boner/chubby/whatever, dude was werkin' it! ;D And he was HAPPY! SO HAPPY!
NCOE and Trespassing were fantastic, I loved the Naked Love bridge (screamed 100% NL--git down, Adam!-- and sang along loudly to the Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-Oh-oh as the master instructed!)
Broken English nearly put me over the edge--that bridge sounded like a sexy alien opera/siren song from Planet Fierce to me--HOPE we get a vid that sounds as lovely as it did live! Then Cuckoo was just really crazy fun! Band looked great, Brian and the Vajayjays were excellent singing backup, everyone was stellar.
Only one problem--the perpetual problem--it was over too soon!
Everyone went to Rolling Stone to eat after (seems like over 30 Atoppers with guests were there?) but I stopped at the alley where Adam was supposed to come out and stood with a lovely couple from Dallas whose entire family including 6-yr-old daughter and 14-yr-old wanna-be drummer son are HUGE fans. (The husband was a total bert and the whole fam had made a huge sign for Adam.)
They had actually been inside for the show, and the man used the restroom right next to Isaac. He told Isaac how much he was looking forward to the music and Isaac said "Hey, I'm the drummer for Adam!" and the guy said, "Yeah, I know Isaac, love your drumming." He said it was so sweet how excited that made Isaac (that he knew his name.)
Anyway, I stayed there a long time considering my feet felt like two cement blocks--because Sauli was standing outside the back door talking to some friends and it was FASCINATING to watch him talk. I say WATCH him talk, because I couldn't hear him but he was gesticulating wildly the whole time! He seemed happy and excited and his hands were just flying while he was chatting. So I couldn't tear myself away, lol. Finally did, though (probably right before Adam and family got in that vehicle to drive away) because I was tired.
Joined the party at RS, had mac and cheese and two shots of Patron to celebrate, met LOTS of Atoppers in person for the first time which was AWESOME! Then walked back to the hotel (only 3 blocks!), stayed up half the night talking to Nonotme and Prism.
Friday morning, we drove around the Hollywood Hills a bit (what a cute area! but narrow, narrow streets!), took JustKaren's friend to her daughter's, drove to the Santa Monica Pier so I could dip my toes in the Pacific (TY, TY Karen for making that happen for me!
)--very sad that we missed NAL's pier performance by only 48 hrs. lol.
And finally got home Friday night! I have been tired as hell ever since and had much RL catching up to do! Not even enough time to check out the Ustream that I guess you all saw OR watch all the vids or catch up at Atop. But I will. Eventually!
Just have to reiterate what Catz said a few pages ago...
part of the fun of stanning Adam is just the planning, the tripping together, the beautiful people I've met--that is so great.
Then seeing him perform, the beauty--from the tip of his nose to THE tip--and hearing that spellbinding VOICE live--honestly, it is like a drug. A GOOD drug. It's always worth it and I can't get enough.
And that's my recap!
