2012-05 Promo Interviews and Performances

Just got home from Six Flags. Lots of pages to read, pictures to see, and videos to watch.

I couldn't tweet from concert area...glad others could. It was way out in the back of the park...well away from the rides. Finding the picnic grove was a challenge for some of us...more about that later.

Loved the picture of the crowd that was behind us crazy close-to-the-stage fans. I guess it filled up between shows.

Adam was so happy, fun, joyful and crazy with that outfit "costume?"

Having to stop now, but in summing it up Adam live is REMARKABLE.

Just got back from Six Flags!! What an amazing night. There was so much love for him in the crowd!! He noticed it and kept mentioning how he could feel the love, saw beautiful faces and people dancing. Despite problems with sound, he seemed to be genuinely happy tonight!!

I loved all his dance moves tonight - seemed like there were lots of new shimmies/steps/shakes that were new and I loved his playful interaction with the band.

The crowd was diversification personified!! Lots of everyone, especially young girls and I noticed at least 5 very fine looking young guys around me. And EVERYONE WAS INTO IT!!! Felt like a big-ole-party!

I got a ticket in the preferred area and so snapped some photos. I really don't know what I am doing here with uploading ...so I will do my best! I want to share with all of you who have been so amazing sharing photos on Adamtopia!!

Desperately trying to get kidlet to sleep so my hubband can watch the game while I join up with all the ATOPers downstairs.

Awesome day.

Watched some of the opening acts. Had the kid go happily berserk on the moon bounce. Very fun if drippingly hot Adam set (and honestly I was there and IIHY was not that horrible - plus consequent banter was amusing). Kid and hubband quickly jumped in the pool, and then everyone ran outside for fantastic fireworks.

We *just* missed the crappy weather, as the second the fireworks were over the hotel staff shooed everyone indoors from the impending storm. Stuffed overexcited kid into jammies. STILL trying to get her to sleep as I type this.

There were a pretty high percentage of kids at the show, and I for one was grateful that the whole front lawn was reserved for hotel guests (the day pass peeps were crowded towards the back) because it meant we could spread out our blanket up on the middle part of the hill and KEEP our spot. The near-stage area was mobbed, but we could see in comfort. Everyone was standing, but I didn't have to worry about the kidlet being squished.

My back breaking is another story. She's not as light as she used to be!

She LOVED the concert!!

Admittedly there was some wailing during one of the opening acts when she discovered that Mommy would indeed bodily haul her out of the amphitheater for taking off her hearing protection while music was playing (Mean Mommy^TM). But that meant she was super-careful while Adam was on.

And she loved Adam's set. Trespassing (her absolute favorite song) kicked everything off and she sat on my hip and cheered her head off. There was a couple songs on Daddy's shoulders, an 'eh' period during some of the slow songs when she sat down on the blanket and finished her sandwich, then back up for the up-tempo numbers including "Cuckoo!!" cheeps. Other than odd mid-song begging for lemonade (**really** hot yesterday) she paid close attention to Adam and got really into the music.

My back and arms are killing me today after dancing with her in my arms so long (why oh why did I stop going to the gym?? Oh yeah : ;D ) ), but we both had a rocking good time.

She also looked just right for the concert. Her school has an after-school soccer program for the 3-5 year olds...which just HAPPENS to have bright yellow and black uniforms. Since she's been enrolled for a few terms, she has a set of jerseys with different numbers, including a big #1 version. Took a bit of coaxing to get her to wear the #1 jersey as 1 "isn't my favorite number [stomp stomp]". Told her it was ADAM'S favorite number, and she then cheerfully agreed it was the one to wear.
