"Disco Naps" cracked me up. I've been taking these since college -- 20 minutes and you're good as new. I tried TM years ago and found that my 20 minutes "power naps" were more effective -- better than an enery drink. It takes a little practice to drift off (you do have to clear your head) but soon you'll be used to it and waking up totally good within 20 to 25 minutes. |

And 20-25 mins is the optimal time. Any longer is too much. It kind of sounds ridiculous but it actually works. |

I'm someone who is intellectually prone to being very reasonable and open-minded and able to see (as well as wanting to see) all sides of an argument, and yet my EMOTIONAL responses are often very reactionary. I recognize this, and generally try not to verbalize my reactionary feelings. I often find myself feeling confused and stressed by stanning and fandom. Which is not to say that it isn't also hilarious and invigorating and joyous. Confrontation makes me really uncomfortable. I don't think that's necessarily a good thing, but I haven't yet been able to change that. I don't think I ever feel "offended". I might be hurt, or angry, or ANNOYED, but not offended. I think Adam is like that, too. I can't quite picture him being "offended" by anyone or anything. Not saying I'm like Adam! Wish I was more like him! I just wanted to say how much I loved and appreciated this post last night by ksha518 . You said everything that was on my mind and better!  Also, I wanted to throw some love to amw for her interesting post about the origins of different terms for the female anatomy. I am fascinated by word origins and the origins of our traditions. Our forgotten pagan roots are so compelling and there is such a richness we have deprived ourselves of when we cut ourselves off from that. The things you learn on Atop! Thanks! |

Yay - in less than 2 weeks we'll be blasting Trespassing from wherever we are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally read yesterday's thread and wow there was a lot going on that I missed - but thanks for all the fun pictures that were posted everyone! Especially loved the tongue gifs, many new to me. I asked my assistant to watch the Kimmel performance on the computer today - I lured her in by saying you could see me in the audience over Jimmy's shoulder - TRUE! She was very impressed and said that he looks and sounds more like the Adam she loved on Idol (don't think she cared a lot for some of the sound and look of the FYE era). I think/hope this bodes well for fanbase additions! It all comes down to the music connecting with people, and it's looking very good for that IMO! YAY! A new fan!!!!!   Yes, this era is going to be even Betterer!!! I'm just sure that this music will bring new fans in and old ones back in, that might have been disenchanted with the award show gate! (don't want to even type the letters) Great job! We are soldiers for Adam!!!!  |

Keep up. You no longer have to write in NCOE on the Q102 media base form. It's there. Aside from that it is discouraging. Isn't NCOE the song that the program directors said they wanted? Why so slow to add? Also there better be some tv appearances coming up. Jimmy Kimmel did nothing for sales. It is going to take a lot of tv for the song to leave an imprint. Adam really needs to revisit the VIEW and get that slot on GOOD MORNING AMERICA he missed the last time around. Kinda wondered the same thing myself! Everyone was so 'crazy' for this song! Hmmmm. |
