ETA: Oh, and it depends also on who releases week of May 8, if they are going to have a strong second week. I forgot who does and I've been trying to find that info but I can't now, so... yeah.  Since the release date was moved for the RCA singer who was originally scheduled to drop his CD on May 8, there doesn't look to be anyone releasing on that date who'll produce high sales numbers (and maybe he wouldn't have either). Sade releases her album on May 8, and she opened with 502,000 first week sales with her last album on 2/9/10. To be fair to Steven, he said one of the best two Idols ever. Which left it open for everyone to interpret their favorite as the other of the two. But Jennifer said the best singer she's heard in 50 years. Really?!!!! : What ridiculous hyperbole. Has the woman never heard Ray Charles? Are Stevie Wonder and Elton John unknown to her? How about Neil Diamond? Paul McCartney? Sam Cooke? Roy Orbison? Barry White? Marty Robbins? So irrelevant! |

These kids are young, talented, can sing and they're good but a great singer..a BIG NO! that's why they're in this singing competition show. I'm really crossing my fingers that his opening number is higher than 100K. Dream big here.. What was Kelly's opening number? |
