Yes, you cant quantify greatness. though utterly F-able,  . ETA: and there's a lot of greatness I just cant see. Maybe one day... I love opinions like this!!! After all the analyzing, the dissecting, discussing, it comes down to whatever he wants. lovable, fuckable, likeable, squeezable ... ok gotta admit a sizable part of a bottle of wine is involved in this post .... So this is me being veeerrry profound now:We love Adam for what we need. And that is why we are ready to defend him so hard (as opposed to someone we just "like") And he so good at touching our sore spots, which gives us the right to meddle with his personal or artistic ... ok getting overboard and incoher.....(what???) |

Is anybody else put off by comments like,"I am pretty sure he/she is gay"? Is there some sort of checklist of the requirements for which we can judge and then label people? It sounds like, "if he/she acts ______way then he/she must be_____." For me, if you don't catch them in the act, or hear it from their lips then I think assuming you know is perpetuating stereotyping. I see your point, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to speculate that someone is gay, as long as you're not saying it as a way to put that person down. I mean, let's be realistic--there are characteristics that we associate with being gay. Would anyone ever doubt that Cheeks is gay? "He pings my gaydar" is not saying something negative against someone; it's just an observation, and shouldn't be much different than saying "She seems shy" or "He strikes me as being very ambitious" about someone we don't know personally. Exactly. Everyone has a gaydar (some are just more attuned than others). The dear friend who I spent the weekend in Oregon with last week is someone who pretty much anyone who has ever met him would say: "You could be blind, deaf and have a seriously impaired gaydar and still KNOW 'F' is gay within one minute of meeting him." And it's true. I simply cannot imagine in what universe anyone would NOT know he was gay and have it be so totally accepted and obvious that you are completely at ease in an instant. Some things just are.He'd be the first to tell you too, but he never needs to. Among his friends who we were out with every night, some you might not realize were gay and others you'd just know immediately. They have a great, very comfortable and accepted gay community in Portland and I had an amazing time with everyone there. (And yeah, F had a few opinions about Joshua – who he thinks as "too queenie." Ugh!! ??? And he has a crush on Phillip. Yes, I rolled my eyes profusely at him.) |

Nica, durberville no need to worry. Everyone, we should have a glass of wine and relax LOL. Yes, of course there will be TV bookings, they just haven't announced them just yet (although we already know about Chelsea Lately, but that was a ninja who found out about it unusually early). We should find out about them soon. Also, TBH, I hope at least some of these bookings are in the second week, because I'm hoping he won't have such a big drop from week 1 to week 2 of sales. We should keep in mind that we watch under a microscope everything that he is doing, and the general public does not function this way. Also, we are NOT in charge of managing his career. And his management and RCA are doing a great job so far with the first week promo.  As to what we know so far: about the iheart radio concert, please refer to my earlier (tiny squee) post. This is AMAZING exposure for radio. It will most surely mean he will get played on Clear Channel stations, which own like half of America LOL ok not quite, but they are a MAJOR presence and own the majority of Top 40 radio stations in the US. The actual audience at the concert is less important. What's important is that this builds good will with Clear Channel so that they play him on the radio. So all is really good so far. ETA: Where is that "everyone relax, I've got this" Adam macro when you need it???
