Um, what? A year??? I thought he and Drake got together during Idol, according to first-hand accounts and broke up in late summer. They were together maybe six months by my calculations. And it was a year where much of the time Adam was sequestered at the Idol mansion. Pretty sure they were together the whole time Adam was on Idol, so certainly by January 2009 and so I'm pretty sure even before that, and they broke up in late October 2009. I read a post that said they got together during Idol. Drake was never there in the early rounds (but that could be manipulated), I don't think they were together more than six months, actually. Drake really seems a blip on the radar for Adam, emotionally (though I know he seems to care about him deeply as a friend). Sorry, I from all my understanding, it was not a long-term relationship. A relationship, yes, but not a year. ETA: And what you said, frecklesexual!!!

I'm back for a little bit. I don't have time to read whole threads and had no idea that I was among the first to receive this. I thought I had missed the squeeing. I am very, very excited and so glad I can share it with you. I see Misha asked about the Naked Love/Pop That Lock lyrics and he is right. In the cd liner notes Pop That Lock starts with Left. Right. Step Up. HAPPY!!!! Finally something "special" for the west coast of Canada (that's been srsly scorned for so long!!) I think you were the FIRST PERSON ON THE PLANET to receive the loot and share it with us!!! ;D ;D And major kisses, too, for your tech support!!!

Hi adamme, here is some info on laweekly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LA_Weekly and they have a website for all of their articles www.laweekly.com/. Off the top of my head I don't recall where I can pick up a copy. I will ask around (since it is distributed every week on Thursday, there should be some from this week). When I lived in LA, this was a free weekly magazine you could pick up at the corner newspaper stands. Don't know if it still is. It is a free Newspaper like The Village Voice... Definitely a "cool" paper... Articles about all the music going on, what is happening in the clubs, the art galleries, liberal articles etc...

I remember cringing a bit reading what Adam said about the relationship in some interview (Out, maybe?). It seemed so detached and analytical and not really warm. Of course, the timing of that interview would put it right around the time before they broke up, so...

Weeklies are known in the industry as being the edgiest, hip, alternative papers out there. They're known as "alt press." And most other regionals or monthlies can't afford to do the things they do (they are one of the few bastions of investigative journalism anymore). Weeklies are usually on the outside edge – think hipster press ... if the like Adam, that's huge. They often scorn anything pop culture or mainstream, other than to mock it.
