Is this a magazine?? Can we get it anywhere or this is just for LA? Hi adamme, here is some info on laweekly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LA_Weekly and they have a website for all of their articles www.laweekly.com/. Off the top of my head I don't recall where I can pick up a copy. I will ask around (since it is distributed every week on Thursday, there should be some from this week). When I lived in LA, this was a free weekly magazine you could pick up at the corner newspaper stands. Don't know if it still is.

I just read that someone said they gave NCOE an overnight spin. Does anyone know how to confirm this? Rabbit??? Request Adam Lambert@requestadam Top 40 News! Overnight, Adam's #NCOE was played 2x each on @kiss108 Boston & @1035kissfm Chicago! Locals, request! ;D They watch the spins come in and are reliable. I saw the first Boston spin myself but was asleep for the Chicago ones. YAY!! Thank you I would be thrilled if Chicago played Adam this era. Still hoping to get some of my nieces on the Adam bandwagon. They totally follow radio's lead and have all the main pop people on their facebook except Adam :( I told them I'd get them ticket to Glam Nation show if they wanted and they did. But he never came. So fingers crossed Chicago gets on board this era. Go NCOE Go!!!! Off to request...

Hi smokey, yes, I believe it is free, but since no one walks in LA it is hard to check corner newspaper stands easily ;D

Once they are played -- even at night, they are on the MEDIABASE form. SO REQUEST NCOE!! Anyway, I am certain RCA/DMG is staging the promo. That is the Idol performance, go for adds/impact week, video release within a week. So hopefully, that get that video done. IF they release the MV around the impacting date it will be the first time Adam has a video out to support his single when they go for adds. --- One really odd thing -- there is no HAC add date, unless I missed it. There is just the Pop add date. Have I been sleeping?

I'm taking it as a good sign that even though a lot of the early adopters are HAC that they're really targeting CHR with this one.

Nica, durberville no need to worry. Everyone, we should have a glass of wine and relax LOL. Yes, of course there will be TV bookings, they just haven't announced them just yet (although we already know about Chelsea Lately, but that was a ninja who found out about it unusually early). We should find out about them soon. Also, TBH, I hope at least some of these bookings are in the second week, because I'm hoping he won't have such a big drop from week 1 to week 2 of sales. We should keep in mind that we watch under a microscope everything that he is doing, and the general public does not function this way. Also, we are NOT in charge of managing his career. And his management and RCA are doing a great job so far with the first week promo. As to what we know so far: about the iheart radio concert, please refer to my earlier (tiny squee) post. This is AMAZING exposure for radio. It will most surely mean he will get played on Clear Channel stations, which own like half of America LOL ok not quite, but they are a MAJOR presence and own the majority of Top 40 radio stations in the US. The actual audience at the concert is less important. What's important is that this builds good will with Clear Channel so that they play him on the radio. So all is really good so far. ETA: Where is that "everyone relax, I've got this" Adam macro when you need it??? Cross fingers and toes, hope you're right about TV promos; I was beginning to wonder if RCA was totally focusing on radio "good will" and radio promo this time around, considering they didn't do enough at the start of last era and all the TV appearances so far have not helped with sales much. In any case, I do agree the iheart radio concert is a very good thing indeed! I think we all, sometimes, get frustrated to no end about the things that we can't control and yet so invested in, or over-invested for some.:-) I tend to relieve my frustration on the tennis court, and I've got a feeling that I'll be doing that quite a bit in the next couple of weeks. Talk about sports psychology...lolo

I get that all stereotypes are based in part on truth but does that make them right? Do we really want to approve of labeling certain behaviors as typical for homosexuals/heterosexuals? Society deems what is "right" and what isn't and the constraints on males is severe. Just like my son, who learned in kindergarten that he should be playing with toy guns and not with dolls, and he shouldn't tell people one of his favorite colors is pink. Why do you like to garden with your mother? Boys don't cry, shake it off they told him on the ball field. Sports are assumed for him--not his sister, who is fine in drama and art. Heck, now he is going to middle school and I'm worried he'll be made fun of because he chose the flute as his band instrument. None of these things are precursors to sexual orientation but you can't tell me that the expectations we place on gender do not effect, limit and alter who you might have become without the restraints--or at the very least impress upon you the need to try to fit into the box you are told you "belong" in. And when you don't, this is when identity and self-esteem issues begin. Stereotyping is simply labeling and assigning expectations based on these labels. The term "gaydar" implies that detecting a person's orientation is relevant. Why does it matter? And the wide-spread use of this term proves that it is socially acceptable to seek out labels for people even if they don't want one. Sometimes we don't recognize that even if our intentions are good, it doesn't mean that the practice has no negative impact. Small things add up. And AleksandraKV, I never thought Adam seemed gay on AI. Why did he--because he has OTT? Didn't dress like one of the repressed boys? Seemed less closed off? He just seemed like an awesome guy to me. Sorry for the rant. I am still evolving but since Adam I have noticed that even the little things that I once didn't notice or thought were meaningless, perhaps aren't.
