Adam Lambert (born January 29, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter and stage actor from San Diego, California. Initially starting out as an underground artist, he garnered himself a mainstream audience after auditioning for American Idol (a decision sparked by an epiphany at Burning Man) and finishing as the runner-up on the eighth season of the show in May 2009. Lambert's vocals and risk-taking, fearless approach earned him the respect of Industry VIPs, from Slash and Queen to Lady Gaga.

I am thinking that the red picture is from the production of" Hair". Adam has stated that the cast performed nude on stage for one scene. The long hair is probably a wig, but he has also said that he did have very long hair at one point. He appears nervous and apprehensive, almost frightened ,maybe waiting backstage to go on? "Hair " was his break-out period, I think, so there may have still been a lot of "apple pie Adam" left. Just guessing. It is a disturbing photo, and I can barely look at it. Who would take such a picture of somesone?

I've seen Hair and the scene that they are nude, is not like they are going on the stage nude. They sing ,and at one point just before the curtain falls they get naked.Of course you're maybe right since the director at the time that Adam was one the show would change it.
This pic seems to me like a private pic.
