This is the surprise song for me. I am a rock person and this one is all pop (and electro at that) but has become one of my favorites. I wasn't sure about it on the snippet but it is so much better in full. The message is all Adam and I love the complexity of it. Impossible to get bored with it!

I wasn't "in love" with this song in the snippet era BUT my gawd - THAT WAIL near the end?!! DED!

Dr. Luke should have produced this one. Doesn't feel as lively as it should...

This song is one of my favorites. Love the attitude and as several reviewers have noted seems custom made for a "so you think you can dance" or similar treatment. Werk!

EvokeOnline: When the snippet of “Pop That Lock” was released, I predicted it to be a big miss, there was nothing great about it. Boy was I wrong. The song is amazing, one that I would blast if I was strutting down a runway. “Werk bitch, you don’t gotta stress this” is a fantastic line, it makes the entire song, but Adam’s vocals are the real highlight.evokeonline.com/music-review/adam-lamberts-trespassing-track-by-track-review/~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boners & Bitches: Pop That Lock at one point I heard was supposed to be the second single, and it probably would have been a great one too. I could hear this song in the clubs while dancing with the rest of B&B. The lyrics are simple and dance focused; this track has everything a good club banging track needs.bonersandbitches.tumblr.com/post/22962765035/album-review-adam-lambert-trespassing~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EQMusic: Pop That Lock – This is another interesting one. Almost as if it was written just to be a single. Quite honestly, I wouldn’t mind if this one was a single, because it’s a fantastic dance song and has “club banger” written ALL over it. The lyrics are simple and dance focused; this track has everything a good club banging track needs, not to mention an incredible electro breakdown...www.eqmusicblog.com/2012/05/album-review-trespassing-by-adam-lambert.html

@adamlambert Pop that Lock working its way up my list of favorites. The fact that radio would never play it makes it even cooler.

Songfacts: Lambert explained the title of this celebratory electro-jam on the live journal of his website: "'Pop that Lock' is about being fierce," he said. "Basking in the glow of light, you have the power to put out in the universe. That's the key."www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=26271
