Hi A-Toppers!! Another de-lurker here to add to the bunch! I've been coming here for about 6 months, but been a fan of Adam's since AI. "Satisfaction" lured me in and "Ring of Fire" sealed the deal! I think this site is awesome and visit daily (first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and all the other "things" in between!). I'm a closet fan and have to keep a low profile because my teen kids and husband don't get it and think I'm a bit weird whenever I mention Adam. Not so much because of Adam (my hubby actually likes his music) but just because they don't like the idea of their wife/mother being a fan(bert) of some guy half her age! As a result I'm alone in my Berting and some days get so frustrated that I can't share my excitement with anyone. So, even secret reading here is an outlet for me!! I've already pre-ordered the deluxe cd but not holding my breath because other Adam orders have not arrived in my little mountain corner of the world. Would anyone be able to send me a link if it's still out there? I'm going nuts reading about everyone's excitement! Thanks so much! Welcome!!! I PM-ed you the link!  |

Good morning, good evening, good everything, where ever you are!
I woke up "Broken english" in my head, in bathroom it was "Chokehold" and in bus it was "Underneath"...
Last night it was "Naked Love"(no, I didn't get any...)
Underneath is so powerful, full of emotions. Maybe first song I feel so emotional, so pure, so real... In my eyes I can see naked Adam, tears in his eyes, somewhere in cold place. Sauli's job is to kiss and caress him warm and accept him as Adam is. The way he was born...(And Sauli is doing a great, great job...) I have to stop now, my thoughts are getting tooo... shady :-)
My lovely Glamberts, we are living interesting times and we are privileged in our lives, because we have ADAM. All we have to do is enjoy our lives!!!

OMG - IT WORKS!!! I'm so excited - I haven't even listened to a whole song yet because I want to first thank you all for sending me the links! Caught a bit of Runnin' and goin' back to for more! Listening in my "hide-away cave" (a.k.a. office) while the family sleeps!! Muwahh!!

I've been enjoying reading everyone's wonderful responses to the album, although I was only able to read parts of yesterday's lengthy thread. I have the link (thanks, Gabby!) but haven't listened yet -- partly due to lack of opportunity, and partly due to the crazy idea that I wanted to wait for the cd. Ha. Not likely! Just hoping to find enough uninterrupted private time to listen for the first time. Hmm. In particular, really excited to hear Runnin'. Loved the Pop Messiah blog review. Can't wait to read more reviews/impressions of the album. I also enjoyed the Village Voice article, and I'm thrilled that they're paying attention to Adam -- even if the article doesn't appear in the print edition (although it would be great if it did). Flail on... |
