  I love it when they play. Gelly, do you think he actually paid for the headpiece, how much was it, almost 4000$? How rich is he anyway? P.S. Everyone who skipped that Soundbath thing ( posted here on previous pages), I HIGHLY recommend it. |

It was the 8th season, Angelina, but in 2009.) Because of the music genre. The album is mostly dance, electronic, funk, or new-wavey, and atmospheric. Runnin, while sounding a bit tribal, and while not quite lite rock as in Take Back, it is more in the pop-rock vein, and it is a glaring difference to the rest of the songs that made it into the standard part of the album. It would have made the album not as cohesive, imo. But after saying that, I do love the song. It's kind of my favorite, in a 14-way tie ;D It took me several listens to start loving the song, because of the very different genre. It sounded a little bit post-grunge Daughtry-like to me (especially the runnin, runnin, runnin from my heart part of the chorus) which is neither fresh or next, or old enough to be retro-cool. I think the powerful vocals and drums and the rest of the lyrics elevate the song tremendously though, and I agree it would make a great soundtrack for something. Even though I adore the song, I see what you're saying. For me, this song is one that worms its way into you. I didn't like the snippet and first listen I was alternately blown away by the vocals but thought the chorus was jarring. Even so, I kept finding myself hitting repeat and loving it more and more and more with each listen. I'm officially obsessed with it now  . |

I don't think it's about how rich he is, Adam always paid a lot of money for visuals, even when he didn't have THAT much money, I remember him on Idol how much money he spent from his own pocket for costumes etc. He said he always believes that visuals are very important. I believe if he owns that masterpiece he will have AND he will create plenty of opportunities to use it, as he always does with his clothes. I mean how expensive is the Gareth Pugh coat? VERY expensive. Was it worth it? I believe it was totally worth it. That's what I love about him. |

LOVE, LOVE LOVE reading all your posts/flailing/gifs yesterday and today -- what a fun place to be !!
Had to add my flail: the whole album is f**king fantastic and I am so into it! but......
Runnin has touched me like no other song on this album .. the combo of drums/vocals and lyrics, dark and hopeful, are killing me DED!!! God, I hope he performs this live one day!
