I THINK THIS WAS ONCE DISCUSSED BUT CAN'T REMEMBER
HOW MANY FOUR STAR ALBUM REVIEWS HAVE BEEN BESTOWED BY RS? I SOMEHOW REMEMBER IT WAS RATHER STINGY. Maybe someone can find out. Adele's 21 got 3 l/2 stars. |

There are other albums that got RS' four stars. Among recent ones, I found Nicki Minaj's Roman Reloaded and the latest album of Sleigh Bells, for instance. I wouldn't read TOO much into this. Katy Perry's Teenage Dream got only 3 stars, and it still went on to be a contender for Grammys for Best Album. And there are 4-star albums that did not go on to have commercial success. BUT. It can't HURT!!! It can only help in getting the album noticed, and out there. Not to mention, it must be personally a great accomplishment for Adam to have his work recognized like this by the biggest music mag out there.  |

OKay, maybe I am dense, but what does "Singing like Zeus in a thong" actually mean. Yes RS gave it 4 stars (major squeeing, since Adele only got 3 nd half) , but the disco cheeseball reference, etc. - not liking. He tries to be too cute and too cool for school with his description. If I were a novice not knowing who AFL was, my response would be WTF??? what is this guy trying to say.
