There are 25 days left. It's been stuck at the current amount of $297,160 for several days, which is understandable, since generous people are focusing their efforts on helping Japan right now. But I can't help hoping that it reaches $300,000 before it's over. I plan to donate more when we're down to the wire. I don't mean to sound unsympathetic and I realize that the people of Japan have suffered a catastrophic blow, but I read in our paper that Japan is the second wealthiest nation in the world. I also read that they were financially prepared for catastrophies like this. Do they really need - or have they asked for our financial help? Now where's that rock. :-/ |
