Like many of you, BTIKM and NCOE are two of the weaker tracks, IMO. I can imagine several others just rocking it on radio. However, I tell myself to remember that RCA played a variety of songs for the radio PDs and DJs. RCA chose NCOE based on their feedback. It doesn't matter how great a song is if the PDs won't allow it to be played.
Maybe the PDs are wrong about what their audiences want. Maybe we are right with our preferences. Don't know. But methinks that the majority of the reviewers we have read praising the album are not the demographic the top40 stations are courting, are they? I think they are probably older and with more sophisticated tastes that the teens and early twenties the stations target.
The one thing I DO know is that RCA wants Adam to smash as much as we do, if for more monetary motivations than we have. They are spending big bucks to make that happen. Doing mega research. And, I am sure, reading every mention and review of Trespassing.
I'm gonna just zone out listening to my box sex tomorrow when it arrives. The music IS. SO. GOOD. I have to believe others will discover it and love it too. Who knows where it will go from there.

I fixed it. It is happening because you are formatting formatted type. You need to turn of the formatting options in your profile if you want to do formatting when you post.
ETA: Rabbitrabbit -- ITA I think many of the better PDs know what their target audience wants to hear but I still think US and UK radio programming is extremely conservative. Canada, NZ and AU are a bit freer about what they play but not that much better. I do not follow any other markets that closely.
That said, NCOE is a fine single, but it really is not representative of the music on this album. And many reviewers have written exactly that. I think RCA has a challenge with marketing Trespassing -- it is a great album but they need radio to build awareness -- but the track that garnered the most interest from radio according to Adam is NCOE. So they send that single to radio because it will get played. And it becomes the song that Adam does on TV.
I think it will all work out in the end and Trespassing will really sell. Plus, the promo has really just started.

Yeah, first of all, radio "showed the most interest" in NCOE. Second, if NCOE fails, he will mostly likely not get another RCA supported single this era.

On the topic of fonts & colors; I prefer using them only for emphasis. Otherwise the layout of the board will become cluttered and hard to read, IMO. What I did like, Q3, was when every other poster had light gray background; at least in my screen it looked great! On repeat: |
