If I dared to throw a hypothesis out there: say the big radio markets didn't pull through, or NCOE itself just wasn't strong enough to make it to top 10, then what? Like many people pointed out radio presence and successful singles sell the album in the long run, does that mean this Academy worthy album is going nowhere?? has any album ever caught on organically because it's so good that eventually just spreads like wild fire, even without radio support?
I do get a strong feeling that the album will do well internationally! :-)

Mediabase
HAC 47 43 ADAM LAMBERT Never Close Our Eyes 198 174 24 1.324
C HAC 48 50 ADAM LAMBERT Never Close Our Eyes 81 74 7 0.341
Good news is that NCOE is back on the Canadian HAC chart. Bad news is that All/Access is now showing NCOE at #43.

Bad news is that All/Access is now showing NCOE at #43. Looks like some spin counts got adjusted. This is what Kworb had for the two songs that are now above NCOE. 46 +1 DANIEL POWTER Cupid 193 +3 -4 +11 0.709 +0.065 21 -- 44 210 60 0.844 47 -1 JON MCLAUGHLIN Summer Is Over f/S. Barei... 193 -4 -12 -13 0.334 -0.006 44 -- 45 211 45 0.419 These songs are now at 201 and 199 respectively. Seether's spin count also changed but he is below Adam so it didn't affect NCOE.

Look guys - Whatever stylistic whimsy happens on the news threads happens on the news threads. However, Numbers formatting is already complicated enough without everyone chiming in with different colors and fonts. Ergo, if stardust concurs, THIS THREAD's text standard will remain plain, black, Verdana, 2 point font. You want to play with colors and fonts for squeeing purposes, fine. Otherwise keep it plain, black, 2 point Verdana or we may change it for you. Thanks. -HMS THANK YOU!!!! I keep thinking that posters are really excited or really pissed about something when I read the larger fonts on the main thread. lol The numbers thread is nerve-raking enough. (because of its nature of dealing with day to day tracking) All of those wild, huge fonts might give me an anxiety attack if they were used daily in this thread!

I saw the demographic discussion under Bieber's thread at Pulse i.e. pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pop&action=display&thread=114296&page=22. Actually the quote goes like this talking about the Pop demographic: "I forget what the age demographic is but something like 16-24 or 18-34 or something along those lines. An audience slightly older than what Justin Bieber (used to) cater(s) to"Does anyone therefore know the age classifications of these radio audiences? Just curious to learn since reading the billboard article. And how do they determine which artists fit to what since CHR is not teen dominated as Bieber fans are also frustrated with his performance in this demo despite all his sales and popularity. Thanks

And another contribution I would like to make is those of us saying Adam single sales post numbers that do not support how loud is fanbase is and so his fanbase is not as big, yes i agree he does not have the biggest fanbase and neither do most of the others have too. Nicki Minaj's first single before the current smashing one went on sale on iTunes the same day as BTIKM, and while Adam's peaked at 19, hers peaked somewhere in the 50s. Her present smashing single on the other hand was debuted at the Grammies and she also got a clear Channel radio deal similar to what JLo, Usher and co got that ensured they had their songs being spun virtually every 30 mins on the radio. This is just the secret behind most of the songs debuting high on iTunes. And we should all know Bieber and those teens that sell without mainstream radio are being spun non-stop on Radio Disney to their target teen audience. One factor you are failing to register in is that 99% of those that debut atop iTunes have radio already on board at the lunch of the single and so their songs get spinned every 30secs. to help those iTunes climbs or they lunch it on a big platform like the reality shows or some other platforms. And angsting over iTunes positions at this stage always baffles me. The fact remains no song would sell without a substantial Audience Impression - usually close to the 10million mark. Also right now, there are so many songs with AI impression as high as 8million on CHR that are not showing significant sales on CHR. Below is the link for those that like to angst. You can also bookmark it for future references and Yes! it is updated daily: pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pop&action=display&thread=112968&page=23

I find it interesting that Q102 played IIHY last night instead of NCOE. I'm thinking if NCOE was palyed it would have been 7 spins...automatic add for station but no spins were held at 6. strategy.?????????
