The result was an all-things-to-everyone album ranging from classic rock crunch to hip-hop heat, with an over-the-top ballad or two thrown in. On "Trespassing," his second studio album, Lambert narrows the focus to profitable dance pop (though the hyper-emotional ballads still force their way in). The result is a more consistent but less-gratifying sophomore offering. It kicks off with a roar on the title track, co-written with Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes. "Trespassing" employs a drill team stomp-and-clap intro backing up chanting lyrics, propelled by a booming bass line and drum beat very reminiscent of Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust." That's entirely appropriate as Lambert may or may not still wind up succeeding Freddy Mercury in the 1970s and `80s supergroup. ... CHECK THIS TRACK OUT: "Underneath" is another one of those trademark Adam Lambert performance pieces, drenched in emotion and vocal gymnastics that would be perfectly suited to the Broadway stage. Don't forget to buy Trespassing on iTunes too! Digital sales are really important and first weeks sales are how artists are measured. If you don't have a CC or for whatever reason can't get a copy from iTunes there are several people on twitter willing to gift. Also, Amazon has MP3 downloads too I'd love to see Adam get to #1 on iTunes. The higher up on iTunes the more visibilty which creates more sales. I'm not disappointed about Larry Flick. I wonder if Adam knows Larry trashed him on his Morning Jolt show last year. Wut, wut, this Larry guy trashed him?! Is it possible then that Adam is just a little tired and didn't want to get up from bed for this guy? *guessing games* Larry is a big Adam supporter. If Adam isn't there it is because Adam doesn't feel well. |

Quick post then back to catching up on 79 pages from yesterday and all of today's.
The band sounded FANTASTIC yesterday at the MLB Fan Cave. I'm very sad my videos sound was so bad. :(
I asked a few fans in line if anyone was planning on taking videos, and they all said no. Just wanted to enjoy the show. After tweeting out the set list I was asked if I could video. Felt the press.
I worked so hard to take the videos. Was about 10 people back but all I could see was Adam's head.
Held my arms straight up (sorry fan behind me) for the entire set to get some close up videos. Was soaked in sweat after the show.
Kudos to anyone that has taken videos. This is WERK!

Interesting to see which Trespassing songs are rated most popular on iTunes.
Right now, it's Runnin', then Trespassing and NCOE.

OMG, my box set was delivered yesterday, and the delivery guy put on the concrete by the garage and never rang the door bell. My son found it this morning. With trembling hands I opened up the box and what a gorgeous box. I can't seem to tear open the cellophane and open it!!!!Must order another one, so I can frame the pics. Gonna sit and look at the box all day!!!!
LOL I love you smokey ! I did the same thing yesterday. I finally opened it after staring at it all day. Now, I think I'll order me another one to put away in my stash.Haha, great minds and warm hearts think alike. What a wonderful obsession. |
