Aside from a few of the apx. 4,000 US Walmart stores that do not have music departments -- mostly small Walmarts in the North -- Walmart is selling both FYE and Trespassing. They were the #1 retailer for FYE and stocked if constantly since release.
I you want Adam to have the #1 album this week, then I suggest you send out good karma to all those Walmart shoppers (and Target and Best Buy and B&N and......)
ETA: Hits radio stations do not really care that much about album sales, they care about hit singles. Sending PDs image of a #1 album with no hit single will do nothing but perpetuate the belief that Adam is an album artist -- an Adult Pop/Alt Pop artist.
My suggestion is to request like a listener -- that is what stations want. Leave the rest of radio to RCA and Adam.
Whatever else -- do not act like a "fan". Radio stations discount what fans say (particularly Idol fans) and, if fans do stuff like send PDs proof they think the PDs are idiots, it will backfire.

Trespassing CD is a whole 'nother layer of greatness than DL. Different experiences. Hear different things. Like having both.
Like just noticed first notes of BTIKM and Underneath are the same.
Has anyone played the LP? Have no turntable, but loved the long lost feeling of opening a new record. Teenage memories.

I'm buying Trespassing Deluxe on iTune. Since I bought the 2 singles before, it's asking me to click either Complete My Album to just purchase the ones I don't have (I understand this then doesn't count the 2 singles I bought in the single sale count) or click Buy Album to buy everything. If I click Buy Album, will the 2 singles I purchased before counted as singles sold ? Click on "buy album" and not "complete my album" You want it to count as an album sale and not a sale of a bunch of singles. Color me unimpressed with Kris Allen's tweet. That tweet came from many tweets of people telling Kris they hope he remembers to tweet Adam since Adam is always supportive of him. Not to mention the timing is suspect. All of a sudden Allen gets supportive a week before his own CD drops and he sees Adam is #1 in iTunes. Never heard a peep from Allen in support of Adam's singles though. All of a sudden the support comes a week before his CD drop. Hmmm.. Just like Obama coming out for gay marriage, some believe him, some thinks it's politics. Probably a little bit of both, but still nice he did it. I always find that giving people the benefit of the doubt makes everyone happy. #pollyanna? Obama risked a great deal to make the kind of statement he made during this time in the US. He had everything to lose and nothing to gain. I'm confused as to why this man's brave statement is being compared in any way to a tweet by some Idolette about another Idol's album! Sorry, but the two situations don't belong in the same universe- IMO. In this situation, Kris had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I can't and won't judge motivation behind a simple tweet, because Kris' support really isn't significant anyhow- except to Adam, so I'm happy for Adam. I'm glad that Adam is finally seeing some support from someone he has supported for so long, but it's in no way comparable to the brave statement our President made a week ago during an election year! |

I gifted some singles on iTunes about 30 minutes ago and still don't have a confirmation email. Is that normal? Yes, normal. Sometimes takes a day, even two, for Apple support to send the receipt email. Don't know if they send gift email to recipient instantly or not, but purchase receipts arrive at varying times, with and without tax depending on where you're buying. I think I read this somewhere,the people you gift to have to accept it and download.. Then it counts. so I guess we have to let them know that they are being gifted.Gosh I hope I'm right. |

If You Ordered from Best Buy
Be sure to check your order because I ordered 2 Deluxe CD's but when I opened the package just now, one was the standard edition.
And this is after getting both the standard and fan editions from Adam Official due to the standard one not canceling when I upgraded!
Anyway, Best Buy customer service was great and they are sending the deluxe edition today, but I have to return the other one within a couple of days to a store near me.
