Just for a flail-worthy stat -- Adam's 80 Metacritic score which will change as more reviews come out.... Only 54 out of 751 Pop albums have ever gotten a higher score!!!!!! EVER???? Yay!!

Saw your comments, juniemoon. Articulate as always, my friend. This is what I wrote: Other reviewers have spoken about what a fun, funky, poignant, touching album this is. No need to repeat. So, as a classically trained musician and vocalist, let me focus on the mad talent of Lambert, the singer. Most folks comment on his remarkable, jaw-dropping range, and this album definitely demonstrates that, including a low register not featured on his previous album, that is a surprising treat. But, range is just the beginning. Lambert has so many colors and textures to his voice. He can sing long, lyrical, crystal clear, ringing phrases. He can roughen it up with a growl. He can float high notes like a feather with his head voice. He can belt out impossibly high notes for a tenor in full voice. He can sing in a vulnerable, simple straight tone, or deliver powerful, almost operatic notes. All in service to the message of the individual song. He is a masterful interpreter of music and lyrics. He also creates layers and layers of vocal sound, providing almost all the backing vocals himself. He is one of the few pop/rock singers today who articulates his words so clearly that the listener understands all the lyrics. In Trespassing, Lambert has made sure to keep his voice front and center on all the songs, as it should be, being such a great instrument. Lambert is unique in being able to use all his classical training yet sound so effective with today's pop, rock, funk and ballads. Trespassing is a showcase and a masterclass for vocalists. cassie, . Loved what you wrote! I left my same review on Amazon, also. Has anyone else felt the need to carry their CD around with them everywhere they go? I took my CD to work with me today even though I have the album on my iPod. I just didn't want to be apart from it.

Got it today, plastics are removed, but not listened yet. I had a "dry" season of few days from Trespassing, and want to wait a little bit more...

Though Adam looks awesome in this pic, the pose makes him look like he's sitting for an updated senior picture. Hey, there's an idea! All schools should post this pic alongside Adam's original senior portrait with a sign saying "See...it really DOES get better after high school!" Very inspirational! :D
