Though Adam looks awesome in this pic, the pose makes him look like he's sitting for an updated senior picture. Hey, there's an idea! All schools should post this pic alongside Adam's original senior portrait with a sign saying "See...it really DOES get better after high school!" Very inspirational! :D Speaking of high school, I keep picturing what it would be like if Adam went to one of his school reunions. Didn't it seem like when he was singing in his high school graduation, some people were either laughing or not paying attention? Wouldn't it be funny if Adam attended and came in a limo or something and dressed like a rock star? I forgot Romy and Michele's High School Reunion for the most part, but didn't someone who was not that popular but became successful have a grand entrance like that? |

Listening to the album non-stop, one copy in car sound seems better on the CD then on the ipod. The bonus tracks are awesome, I keep wondering what other songs are great and are left in demo land. We may never know..

Just for a flail-worthy stat -- Adam's 80 Metacritic score which will change as more reviews come out.... Only 54 out of 751 Pop albums have ever gotten a higher score!!!!!! EVER???? Yay!! I know!!!!!!!!!! Cassie, great job on the review you just posted! It was perfect for a site where casual or new fans will be reading!  Does anyone else think that EW simply looks, for lack of a better word, STOOPID  right now? EW jumped in early with the "gay punchlines" and basically they were using Adam as a punching bag to bounce their "gay jokes" off of. THEN, all the other reviews started pouring in that reviewed Adam as a human being and a credible artist instead of a gay punchline. Even if the some of the album reviews didn't give TSP an A or 4/5 stars, they respected Adam and his music. I can accept those types of reviews, even if they aren't over the moon about the CD. Because of this, the EW review sticks out like a sore thumb. It basically screams "homophobic review" even more so now when it is grouped with all the others. For me, most exciting part of the past few days has been a general feeling that the tide is turning for Adam in every way. I'm sensing a new awareness and respect for Adam as an artist this era! (and there are a few, like EW, who are basically left out to sea) |
