I've got all these errands to run today. But. But. Trespassing is blasting out of my newly purchased stereo system and he sounds soooooo good. I can't leave yet. After the next song. Not now, Underneath is next. I'll just listen to that. But, what about Chokehold? Okay, just thru the end of the regular album. Then I'll get to work at those errands. But, after OOL is RUNNIN. Have to hear that. And then...... Errands can always wait a day, right? Time for a new car stereo system? Otherwise you could become housebound... ;D |

A few Summer's songs have already showed up in the iTunes Overall Top 200: "Last Dance" at # 66, "She Works Hard for the Money" # 159, and "On the Radio" # 181. And...Adam is still holding strong!!

It's freer than anything I've heard since the drag queen Sylvester disguised himself all over again in baritone at the conclusion of his "Dance (Disco Heat)." Though pummeling with house beats that by now have had their historical gayness ironed out of them by mainstream acceptance, Trespassing's tracks are largely more slinky than your typically buzzing and blaring Euro-radio fare. They often are stripped down, effete. "Kickin' In" recalls the unfairly ignored cowbell disco invocations by Pharrell Williams on Madonna's Hard Candy. The title track references the entire phenomenon of non-disco groups going disco — it overtly signifies Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" in limber, pronounced bass line and pre-chorus steam-whooshing. It's smitten with musically ambiguous sexuality.MORE ... Really not crazy about the angle and spin though it is favorable. It's such a narrow narrow interpretation. I wish the reviewer had linked to some of the tracks. |
