Very interested in the NPR interview, do we have a time for it yet?
Can I listen on-line? (I don't get radio out here)
I am really not familar at all with NPR, but from what yall have said, this is a very good thing!
Do we think Adam will be included as one of their "50 Best Singers" series? I listened/read the one on Freddie posted a few pages back, and Adam had several "clips" in it.

I think I will finally be able to sleep after Adam on Idol.. I have been sleeping like 4 hours a night and spending most of the last few days glued to my computer and to Adamtopia ,for news of Adam.. Like #1 on ITUNES and watching to see that the number holds.. checking checking and now this performance. My Addiction has really gotten out of hand. Did we say that we had our own withdrawal clinic for adamtopia? Where is it Pleez.

Imo, Adam probably thought about those words for quite a while, debating with himself whether he was ready to release those words in this way. There are a lot of layers to these lyrics and that's a wonderful thing is. Adam writes them from his place and his experience and that makes them raw, honest and meaningful.
What we then personally make of them when we interpret them for our own life or own thoughts that is a next step and we each can interpret them differently.
I usually tend to pick up the sexual vibe or context quite immediately in lyrics like these and take a bit longer to realize the some of the other layers. Then discussion sometimes brings out things that I never even saw. It's all good. I am just thankful that Adam writes from such a personal place and I perceive that as a huge gift.
So many song-writers say that they are doing that, but I just don't see it. The lyrics are so generalized, so washed out, so PC, so mainstream, that they lost their flavor, if they ever had it to begin with.
I love that Adam firmly stands where he stands and writes from that experience and then lets the chips fall where they may. I can connect much more to that, even though I have to bridge it from his world into mine. I can do that, we all can, but when there is nothing meaningful to start out with, that is when it gets boring, something Adam never is.
For me, music either is just nice background music, i.e. dinner music or it needs to be truly interesting music, in the sense that it does something to me. It needs to move me. Whether that means it makes me laugh or it makes me dance or it makes me think or it makes me cry. It needs to take me from where I am and do something to me. And Adam's music always delivers on that front, usually on so many layers that it takes me a while to even absorb it. And it made me a huge fan of his along the way and I am loving every minute of it.
As far as the immediate question at hand:
'such a beautiful release, you inside of me'....I am a woman, and as such these lyrics are wonderfully personal and meaningful and very sexy and I love them. Am I used to hearing them from a man, of course not, but it is quite obvious that gay man can sexually relate to our female world in this way more than straight guys would, so why not sing about it. But nevertheless...very brave.
Now, to the question raised above...."but Adam says he is a top"...
Black and white? And the man always lies on top? Straight couples work it out as it is right for them, so do gay ones, I presume.
Nobody is in somebody else's relationship and I don't think I need to dig around in Adam's any more than he willingly shares with us, but I presume they as a couple are working it out without my assistance.
Anyhow, beautiful lyrics from a beautiful spirit.

yes, but even my daughter (who loves Underneath and hits repeat at least three times before moving on) said "oh that sounds dirty" the first time she listened to the song. and the lyric is "such a beautiful release, you inside of me" just for accuracy. One can see this is a number of ways.. Adam is good at double and triple meanings. To me It's carrying you in my heart.. for someone else it could be sexual.. True...I pretty much hear sex in about 95% of what Adam sings but in this case, I don't. I think it's about letting someone inside you, being fully open and the release that kind of trust brings. But it can be interpreted sexually. Y'all got dirty minds like Eddie

Just downloaded my copy from iTunes. YAY is currently #8 on Oz Albums chart in ITunes. Am sure he will probably get an Idol bump here too as we get show on Fox and will be on TV tonight with NCOE.

www.jsonline.com/entertainment/musicandnightlife/cdspot18-rj5b0go-151903635.htmlCD Spotlight Adam Lambert: TrespassingBy Jon M. Gilbertson, Special to the Journal Sentinel May 17, 2012 3:52 p.m. 19 Recordings/RCA Although Adam Lambert stalled at second place on the 2009 season of "American Idol," his first post-"Idol" album, "For Your Entertainment," had more personality and musicality than almost any other debut from any other participant in the long-running talent competition. The first half of Lambert's follow-up, "Trespassing," has an even brasher personality, as if it's a party boy who's donned his best silk shirt, spiked his hair just so and is ready to strut. With the able assistance of producers like Pharrell Williams and Dr. Luke, Lambert polishes the mirrors of his dance club until they reflect every pose with sensuous clarity. He's trashy and unsubtle on tracks such as "Naked Love" and "Shady," but he has the pipes to sell the neo-Prince fantasy. On the second half, he regresses toward standard modern-pop ballads like "Better Than I Know Myself," and he sells that processed melodrama, too. Lambert doesn't really need to prove he has the goods, but it's fun to hear him do it anyway.
