For me personally it would be "carrying you in my heart" and think that most casual listeners would think the same. When I listen to the lyrics through what I may perceive as Adam's vantage I lean toward sexual interpretation - and well, I don't think that needs explaining:-) frecklesexual: While Adam has said he is a top I think he has said somewhere in an interview he has been open to the opposite. And we don't know what Sauli's feeling are on this. I will stop now on this subject cuz I feel like I am getting to invasive into their personal relationship and I know nothing... Adam explained "Underneath" on the THR Tuesday or Wednesday article.. basically he said "Don't Judget a Book by It's Cover" And " .. you inside me" lyrics, to me is to let strangers to get into his live and to know him better that he's not as a freak as people think he is. Ahhh, the voice of reason:-) Have not been this nervous and excited about a performance since - well I won't say what show... |

melliemom - where Is Adamtopia acres?? Adam mentioned he might like to live in New York City someday so thought if Adamtopia Acres was located somewhere in up state New York we could still get the R&R we need but not be too far from Adam. I also thought somewhere in England would be nice since I think Adam will be spending a lot of time there in the future. I'm IN |

Yes, I thought given the target audience the article was pretty good and humorous. And one of the comments hit home for me because this is the only lyrics from the album that makes me smirk about wondering what others think when they hear it. So I agree about this comment from the article: GaddafisTentPitcher I really really like this album, but you missed the gayest line of the entire album: "Such a rush / you inside of me." hmmm...I think that lyric is alluding to the fact that he's letting someone inside of him, underneath his skin. jmo I love how his lyrics can have multiple meanings, depending on who is listening and how they are interpreting the lyrics..  |

Oh, I have butterflies in my stomach and over an hour yet to go. Adam must have nerves of steel; I can't even imagine. I have a whole flock of butterflies - huge ones. Yeah, butterflies is not the right word. It's like tiny nervous snakes slithering all over my body.  |

One can see this is a number of ways.. Adam is good at double and triple meanings. To me It's carrying you in my heart.. for someone else it could be sexual.. True...I pretty much hear sex in about 95% of what Adam sings  but in this case, I don't. I think it's about letting someone inside you, being fully open and the release that kind of trust brings. But it can be interpreted sexually. Y'all got dirty minds like Eddie  Agree.. and Adam is not the only person who wrote Underneath.. there're bunches of pees there. And one of them is Tom Sapirro?? A country songwriter right? The first time we heard the demo, people thought this is one of the song that Adam didn't have songwriter credit on. But I guess when they recording it, Adam gave some sugestions onto the lyrics or melody and he ended up getting that songwritter credit. :-/ |
