Junkets - I read the LA Weekly article, but I don't think she mentioned any ages of Glamberts, did she? I thought she just said they were mostly women? I thought that kind of cool, because she was highlighting the fact that we find him sexy (which is true for many of us). I thought Adam pointed out that he was NOT using the C word? This is a different word that means something else? Maybe I misunderstood the whole thing? I read it the same way as you.

I thought Adam pointed out that he was NOT using the C word? This is a different word that means something else? Maybe I misunderstood the whole thing? From Our Friend The Urban Dictionary: Cunty 256 up, 138 down A word generally associated and used in gay society. It means an overwhelming feeling of self-conceit or cockiness. Associated with many feelings, usually of being a bitch, cocky, conceited, arrogant, obnoxious and the list goes on. I'm feeling cunty! Ohh she is FIERCE!, cunty! That bitch is being really cunty today...

It's just that I remember back in the day how I rolled my eyes about Claymates--I thought it colored my idea of his fanbase as being distinctly uncool, when I was young enough to care about those things (one benefit of growing older is not giving a flip what others think!) I had to consult the venerable Urban Dictionary (of course) to double-check if there is an alternate meaning of the "ie" version of the word (hopefully meaning something regarding how awesome women are , but it only had just something about disparaging term women use for each others' actions. Hardly has entered the lexicon. If Adam wants to coin the word to mean fabulous in only a way women can be, which I doubt, he should go on with his bad-ass self. Anyway, I hardly think Adam is sexist in any way. I just think he might be somewhat innocent about words acceptable in club scene that might be misunderstood elsewhere. (I am so rarely offended you wouldnt believe, but I have a sore spot for anti-female terms; didn't even like his use of twat to mean idiotic tweets.) Ok, carry on. Rest of the day is for squeeing only from me!

I was just thinking about how Adam convinced RCA that he could be the Executive Producer of his album.
That's such a long way from his position as an outsider in the industry who got the message he wouldn't get a record deal because he was an unsellable brand - this alternative gay guy in his late 20s.
Now RCA trust him to take control of an album they are investing a lot of money and time in.
;D

Woke up at 4am and couldn't sleep. First thought in my head was tonight's the night - AFL on AI!
Now voting on q102 - bound to be sleep inducing. (Open to internationals, no voting limit, 3rd from bottom.)

I'm asking such a silly question because I've been a stan just since May 2010, so Idk...
