idolator.com/6471761/adam-lambert-trespassing-review-revueAdam Lambert’s ‘Trespassing’: Review Revue Three years after Adam Lambert‘s stint on American Idol — and two-and-a-half since the release of debut LP For Your Entertainment —his long-awaited (and slightly delayed) sophomore offering Trespassing is finally out. Some critics seem to agree that the first half of the album is a glitter-drenched pop-dance workout, while the latter half is a bit ballad-heavy. Read what the Internet at large had to say about Adam’s new record below, then let us know your own thoughts on Trespassing.

Sigh. I'm really debating whether to post and I'll prolly end up deleting this, but I normally really like LA Weekly articles and this one really disappoints me. First, the copout by the writer to go to the Glambert route. That's shorthand from a hipper-than-thou rock writer to say that Adam appeals to women of a certain age and therefore his cred is questionable. Note how many times you hear a dj say to Adam that his mom was so excited that the dj was going to be interviewing him. It allows the dj to retain the idea that he isn't a fan--just his mom. Then the use of the "c" word--whether it's with an "ie" or whatever. It's an off-limits word to me the same way the n word is to black ppl or the f word is to gay ppl. Being a gay man doesn't give him the right to use disparaging terms for woman. Ok, rant done. And, mods, delete if you don't want the convo to go here. I'm squeeing with the rest of you abt the album. Freaking LOVE it. I can't even describe the joy it brings me and the ridiculous happiness and fun y'all have brought me with this board. Still remember when I discovered PF went poof (during drive from Louisville FYE show I seem to recall). Can NOT wait for AI tomorrow and to see what happens on charts!! I so want good things to happen. what I've seen and know of our mods, there is nothing to delete here just the opposite: a very valuable opinion to add to the rainbow! Thank you for making me think along a neglected route!!

terra_zephead Chicago Tribune Review 4.5/5 Stars (Counts for Metacritic scores) www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/sns-rt-us-adamlambert-music-reviewbre84f18v-20120516,0,5440362.story We've read that interview already, now it's posted here and it counts? "Tresspassing" gives glimpses into the true Adam Lambert LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Well, the upcoming movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" has its theme song, if it wants one. "Chokehold," a provocative track from Adam Lambert's second album, sounds tailor-made for the S&M occasion: "Sheets are in a knot... I kinda like the pain... I keep running away from you, but I can't stop breaking the chains." Madam Ana, he's Adam. Lambert may play the submissive in "Chokehold," but through the rest of "Trespassing," he's trying to assert himself in a way that he didn't on his debut album. That first effort came out a little too soon after his second-place "American Idol" finish for comfort, so "Trespassing" is supposed to be the one where enough time was taken to show us the true Adam, as naked as his biblical namesake. Thursday, May 17, 2012 MUSIC Adam Lambert on course for US number one album Published Thursday, May 17 2012, 11:40 BST | By Robert Copsey | Add comment Adam Lambert is on course to top the US album chart with his latest album Trespassing. The record is expected to debut at number one next week with sales between 70,000 and 80,000. Billboard reports that the figure could be the smallest sum for a chart-topping album since last August, when Adele's 21 sold 76,000 units in it's 12th week at the summit. Lambert - who finished second place on American Idol in 2009 - could still be denied number one by current leader Carrie Underwood with Blow Away or Adele, both of which are expected sell between 65,000 and 75,000. The star's debut set For Your Entertainment landed at number three on the tally with sales of 198,000 in its first week during the busy Christmas period. Other albums expected to enter high on the Billboard 200 are Glee's The Graduation Album and Garbage's Not Your Kind of People. Lambert recently announced a third UK show with Queen at London's Hammersmith Apollo in July. Listen to Adam Lambert's new single 'Never lose Our Eyes' below: more
