I guess the West Coast hasn't heard Adam on Idol yet.. Is that right??? No yet. watched on FOX East channel so have seen performance but am waiting for 8:00 Pacific time start to watch in HD on big screen. |

Does AO report ? Could mean a difference for first if Adele inches up. OMG! I hope so! Why would they not? They can probably contribute a few K to the count. I ordered (I think) 4 from them... |

I listened to the performance live with my new speaker system and the backing singers sounded fine to me. Adam's voice still predominated. There was only one glaring problem with this performance: people unfamiliar with Adam are going to think that it was lip synced. It was much too energetic, powerful and spot on pitch to possibly be live. It must have been enhanced. We had a member (here, Adamtopia, or PF?) whose DH didn't like Adam and dismissed his performances as lip synced. She asked for help in trying to convince her DH otherwise. How do you convince someone it's not lip synced? Don't you get tired of this? Does anyone besides me get tired of the people who just can't believe Adam can sang??!! I've explained to my family; to my friends; to my colleagues; and now I am done. If they don't 'get it' I'm through with the lip-synching explanations; the tongue explanations; the anything-they-throw-at-me explanations of why Adam really 'IS' the artist I know him to be; the musical savior I know him to be in my life. If they don't get it; if they want me to, yet again, tell them why he is relevant, why he is exceptional, well, it's time they started to pay attention. And I think many will. Someone said today that in the future people will be saying they were fans of Adam from the beginning - but not until it's chic to do so. That time will come soon. We who have been here for the past three plus years know better. So - you can explain Adam's excellence until the cows come home. Believe me, I've done it. But I'm finished with this. Adam is too excellent. He doesn't need my defense or my explanation. All I need to do is put the music on. |

Perhaps iTunes buyers are tending toward a new and different demographic. When I'm looking at the actual album page, there is a list of other music that Trespassing buyers have purchased. Not one Idol among them. :D They show Kylie Minogue, Beth Ditto, The Veronicas, Madonna, and PIT BULL!?!?!?!  Yes. It's the iPod Mp3 generation. The also-bought list was different in Era FYE. I believe Adam is reaching a new crowd. 8-) 8-) 8-) |

Hoping that now that the finalists are announced, the bloom will be off the rose for the Idol top 3 album which is currently #1 with Trespassing right behind. Maybe the West Coast view of Idol will close the gap and get Trespassing back at #1.
