We had a member (here, Adamtopia, or PF?) whose DH didn't like Adam and dismissed his performances as lip synced. She asked for help in trying to convince her DH otherwise. How do you convince someone it's not lip synced? Don't you get tired of this? Does anyone besides me get tired of the people who just can't believe Adam can sang??!! I've explained to my family; to my friends; to my colleagues; and now I am done. If they don't 'get it' I'm through with the lip-synching explanations; the tongue explanations; the anything-they-throw-at-me explanations of why Adam really 'IS' the artist I know him to be; the musical savior I know him to be in my life. If they don't get it; if they want me to, yet again, tell them why he is relevant, why he is exceptional, well, it's time they started to pay attention. And I think many will. Someone said today that in the future people will be saying they were fans of Adam from the beginning - but not until it's chic to do so. That time will come soon. We who have been here for the past three plus years know better. So - you can explain Adam's excellence until the cows come home. Believe me, I've done it. But I'm finished with this. Adam is too excellent. He doesn't need my defense or my explanation. All I need to do is put the music on. You are probably right, but, I keep trying. Some folks are just naturally cynical. But I think that some just can not wrap their brains around the idea that people can sing that way live. Nothing in their personal experience supports that it is even possible. They have a lifetime of listening to singers, and they never sound like that. Therefore, YOU must be wrong. I recently had that experience talking to Angelina about Adam's voice. She commented about something he did that, in all my years of singing and listening to singers, I had NEVER witnessed. I had always thought, no always KNEW it was impossible. When I said I didn't believe it, Angelina thought I was doubting her expertise and knowledge. I had to reassure her that that was not the case. Rationally, I accepted what she said, because I have mad respect for her knowledge, and she is a highly sought after and successful vocal coach. But, the conditioned part of my brain just couldn't wrap around such a change in a basic paradigm. It was as if she had told me the sky was not blue, or the sun was not hot. I think there are folks who have the same reaction to Adam's voice in general. It does not fit their world view. Adam doesn't fit their world view. So they have to find explanations for what he does, even if the explanations clearly can be disproved. I'm gonna hope that, given enough experience with the phenomenon that is Adam, eventually their paradigm will shift.

guardianlv.com/2012/05/lisa-maria-presley-and-adam-lambert-connect-on-american-idol/Lisa Maria Presley and Adam Lambert Connect on American IdolBy Cheyenne Kent ... Then, season eight Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is scheduled to sing his new hit single, “Never Close Our Eyes”. This is from his album Trespassing with it’s EDM beat, multi-track and in-vogue style. But the excitement and attention of American Idol backs him up with it’s rags to riches drama. This is because America warms at the idea that the boy they see every day has become a household name. Now they have the opportunity to brag of the connection. The two stars do have a connection however: Presley may be Daddy’s little girl; but Lambert sports a resemblance to the King himself, even without the hair. In the end, reminiscence works for either one of the artists. Dear lord that reads like a google translation and I don't think it is!

You set all that up and then don't tell us what Angelina was saying?????? Have a heart and put me out of my misery please? Maybe in the vocal thread?

I'm only on p. 15 so don't know if this has been mentioned... Was it my eyes, or did Ryan have a gold/yellow 'pocket square' in his suit top pocket...to coordinate with Adams color scheme? Coincidence or paying homage... Thought Adam had the bright yellow nail polish but on the other hand, looked like something black and longer on his pinky...I think I am just losing it and am imagining things...sorry, this is not making any sense :-[ But one thing I do know, he was fantastic!!!
