<b>2. ADAM LAMBERT! Yes, the one and only Gay Frankenstein graced the Idol stage with a lurching, black-lit performance that made me miss him so much. Just so, so much. Remember the gory, glittery days of Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, duking it out like two Dynasty stars in a fountain? Those days were so much more exciting, it was just a better time to be alive. Now we're stuck with all this boring stuff, but back then... Oh, back then. So yeah, Adam came out and sang a song and I don't really remember what the song was but it was a song nonetheless and he looked very terrifying up there in the black light, his trademark skinsuit radiating a strange dark glow, his hair a greased pompadour thick as a Russian's beard. Eventually they turned on the regular lights and it was just Adam Lambert, but that's fine. I'll take any old Adam Lambert over this whole chicken coop of "contestants" they've got bouncing around this season. They probably should have ended the show after the great glorious Lambert/Allen season. We didn't know how good we had it when we had it but we do now. Nothing could ever top Adam Lambert, unless it's a special occasion. Ha, just kidding. We know how Adam do.</b>
Anyone post this? It's Richard Lawson, who used to write the AI recaps on Gawker and hated, really to an almost pathological degree, Adam Lambert. I would read them anyway and wince because I always like Lawson's unique and often hilarious writing style, but I would be wincing the whole time.
This pleases me (and so what if he found song forgettable. This is most complimentary he has ever been to Adam).

Thanks for posting that junkets! I love seeing how some reviewers can change their opinions in retrospect when faced with the mediocrity that is not Adam Lambert.

Thanks for posting that junkets! I love seeing how some reviewers can change their opinions in retrospect when faced with the mediocrity that is not Adam Lambert. I so miss Adam's weekly stints on Idol..You could tell how much he is missed by the audience's applause last night.It was like a please don't go applause. If Adam ever wants to settle down a bit,I.E. Kelly Clarkson Adam Levine.. weekly Reality TV song fests I think TV would welcome him with welcome arms.I know I would. |
