I'm sorry that I'm always late to the parade! I absolutely loved Adam's performance last night -- the happy energy, the yellow neon, his interaction with the band members -- masterful!!!
Anyhow I would like to know if Sauli was there and are there any pics. Sorry if this is really old news but maybe you could direct me to the posts.

Quick hello, folks. I've been so busy getting ready for my move back to Austin from NYC (this weekend) that I've missed so much of the goodness. Saw the youtube from last night and thought Adam was top notch and I lURRRVE the outfit (on of my faves EVAH!)--but I'm a teenaged girl at heart so natch I would love the neon ;D. I wanted to pop in quickly to say that while I've missed so much of the fun I have nothing to complain about because I GOT TO GO TO THE IHEARTRADIO concert and it was the BEST CONCERT EVAH, of course. I meant to post a recap right after, but I've been way too busy, and only fianlly got around to writing one now. You've all seen the vids, of course, and are in any case many new layers of awesome past it by now, but in case anyone is interested I posted a (long!!! of course!) recap in the RELEASE DAY thread. Just posted in the numbers thread with Canadian itunes figures.
I had not been able to post since my original/first post when I got my box sex last week, as real life has kept me otherwise occupied. But, I have been popping in to try and keep up to date, which is really a full-time job in itself some days!
Adam has been just fabulous in all the performances this week. AI performance was magnificent last night. He looked gorgeous and sounded the same.
I have a bit of news for any canadians on here who may want to go to the hmv cd signing on May 28. There are only a few passes left for it. You actually have to go down to Queen St. HMV in toronto personally to pick up a pass which will reserve your place to get your cd signed. Max 200 people and they are almost out of passes. The cds were prominently stacked on the counter behind the cash and I think they have sold quite a few. I would hope they would play the cd in the store, it wasn't on when I went in though. I asked her if she had heard the cd yet, but she hadn't. I would find this odd if one is working in a record store where they are going to have a signing. She did however say she like some of the songs on his 1st album and only heard the new song out now. Also said quite a few people were driving in from out-of-town to get their passes since they cannot hold any. U have to purchase a cd to get the pass. She also said the cd signing was controlled by the label, so it may be that only 1 thing can be signed, and not sure if you can bring your own item, or just the cd. I have a pic of the pass that I am trying to attach, but it seems to be taking a long time to upload. Hope it is not that the pic/file is too big. I am new at this posting stuff.

Adam makes me so happy on so many levels. But today as I sit here at my desk, blasting "Pop That Lock," he's making me thrilled that three months ago, I changed jobs and went to work for a company that lets me telecommute from home.
Extreme berting and loud yells of "werk, u fierce bitch!" (from me, not Adam) wouldn't have gone down very well at my old workplace. Wonder what my performance review there would have looked like!

Been debating this question: would it be better to buy 10 copies of Trespassing Deluxe, or one Box Sex?
My budget can only stand so much. From an Adam support standpoint, I'm thinking the 10 copies would be better. But from a stan standpoint, it's the box set.
What do you think? Discuss. Buy the box set and 4 TP Deluxe, if your budget allows. |

[groans] Damn. I was actually hoping for an edit. I will admit before I became a mom I totally eyerolled at radio edits. But now that I have a little kid - who doesn't possess filters - it gets a little cringeworthy having her sing ALL the lyrics without any considerations of the "kid appropriateness" of what she's singing. And while she may not literally know what "fuck" means (other than something daddy mutters in traffic), she sure is capable of singing it loudly on a song she likes. And as much as we both love the Cuckoo song, that lyric really isn't appropriate coming from a nursery-schooler. Not quite sure what I'm going to do yet........ I'm quite surprised that there's no language warning anywhere on Trespassing, not on iTunes either. Hoppers, give me the word and I can make a clean version of Cuckoo if you like Of Trespassing too if you think you need it. I would LOVE a clean version of those two! My little 3 year old grandson adored IIHY and I think he would flip over Trespassing but I am afraid I will get in trouble if I play it for him. |
